I trust the manager but personally I'd have moved Forrest on at this stage.

 

That is so simplistic it's unreal. Luckily we've got a manager with a positive mindset that can see potential in people. Think I'll trust his judgement over some keyboard Klopp.

 

Fans are quick to write players off…. Jamesy was top of league fir assists alone a couple of seasons ago … AND one of the top scorers… he’s had injuries in between… folk wanted him punted the summer before then…. my only gripe is the injuries but he’s not the only one in that respect… He’s had an intermittent season so not had a chance to get up to speed…

You don’t get new contracts that long out of goodwill…

It's not quickly though. James has struggled for form for a long time now. He needed a big game last night to end the season on high. It was another game where he looked off the pace.

I don't think any players got pass marks for last season and it's unfair to single McGregor out.

 

Brilliant news, was surprised 3 years but happy, yes Inthink his games will decrease over time, but would love the wee man to finish at Celtic.

 

He will prove the doubters wrong. Like he has before many times.

We need squad depth, he's an asset.

Besides, anyone with proper talent in our scouting pool won't come to us knowing they have to fight for their place against someone who's had 26 goal contributions last season.

He is completely finished. He’s lost his pace and is scared of going past players.

You can tell a Lawwell is back at the helm. Much cheaper to renew the contract of a substandard player, than go out and spend a few million on a replacement.

 

Surely on reduced wages. 3 years seems excessive.

Hopefully recaptures his form from a few years ago. But I'll be disappointed if this means we're not after another winger.

 

I wonder if a big part is he is well liked behind the scenes by players and we'll respected. Yeah he's quiet on the screen but I wouldn't be surprised if he is the sort of guy who yunguns really look up to.

Loads were last season despite him being one of few decent players. Many also many saying he wasn't captain material.

 

As long as he knows his place now then fine. Hes been good over the years in spells. Hes lost a yard of pace now so i would definitely be using as rotation and a elder head in the dressing room to teach.
Could still get solbaken if we punt MJ and dembele.

 

I'd have been completely fine with a year extention, but 3 years seems absolutely mental.

In Ange we trust obviously, must be on a much lower wage.

3 year's seems well over the top for me considering he's already slowing up and becoming injury prone..

Been some player for us and servant, with lot of experience....but I'd of parted way's this summer..

I would have preferred letting him go and getting Solbaaken but this doesn't look well for the Jota either deal if we're keeping Forrest. hopefully still get both Solbaaken and Jota and we can move on Johnston and Dembele is away now too.

I seen some say he wasn’t captain material which is bizarre but nothing about him being done as a player.
