Wee Jimbo has been much better. I was one of his critics. But I will give him praise. He's worked hard and gives opposition something to think about. He's also playing a string of games in a row. An impressive feat in itself.:50:

Did * all tonight, the right back had the beating of him for pace. Forrest never thought about mixing it up and cutting inside, kept trying to go down the outside and kept failing.

Aye I must admit I don't think he was great tonight.

Tried numerous times to take that right back on but he had him sussed. That's his problem, bit predictable.

Not his worst game but certainly not great.

Defensively did a job, must be hard being a player of his ilk having to think that way

Honestly, I thought barring the throw where he was away and set up Griffiths, who should have scored, he was so poor. He was our obvious outlet and carrier but it just never happened..

    Disappointed in him..

Put in a great shift but was never going to get the better of the Ajax RB who looked like a fine player. One good run to set up Griffiths in the first half but defended very well which helped Izaguirre until his moment of madness.

He was not in it too much, Ronny should have switched wings though for me as the guy Dijks looked rotten and sure JF would have bust him for pace.

Said it before, but if Forrest comes up against a quick full back, with half a footballing brain on him, then he struggles. He relies on his pace to cause problems, because he doesn't have a trick up his sleeve to beat his man. Their full back had the measure of him last night, and you seen that after the first time he ran at him. Wasn't his worst performance, but he wasn't much of an attacking threat for us either.

He was a really good outball last night, his control was expecctional and many a time Gordon kicked the ball straight to him which he brought down and kept us in possession, was good to see. He could have done more and I hoped he'd cut inside a few times but his work rate was exceptional and there's going to be so much more to come from him.

One trick pony and the RB had him in his back pocket last night so faded out the game

He looks fitter stronger and more confident..

Thought their RB was very good but he didn't get forward much at all as Forrest scared them with his pace. So maybe not that productive pushing forward, but nullified a potential threat in the RB..it was a good battle and they were evenly matched..

    Much like the sides..

Looks much fitter now. His body shape is different and he looks mentally and physically more able to go for the full match. The RB last night had the beating of him, but he didn't give up and there is so much less of his arm-in-the-air * we saw under Lennon. Him and Griffiths are two players who have definitely improved under Deila.

Personally i dont think he will get any better, his footballing ability and intelligence is quite poor you never see him making intelligent passes or runs, and when he gets the ball he can sometimes beat defenders but his end product is quite *. I just dont see the fuss about him, he needs to add much more to his game for me, when we just came into the first team squad he was exciting and fearless but noe he is just another average looking wingers...

Would be amazing to have a naka type player there again, * had no pace but his footballing ability and intelligence was * outstanding, our team right now doesnt need pacy wingers because no * is ever in the box for crosses quick enough haha

He's starting the games really well and his positional play was better first half than it has been. Clearly it's been coached into him because it's an issue. He's go an uncanny knack for being * defensively. He was very good for the first 45. But i kind of think when we get a lead, he's one of the players that doesn't have the gumption to make it three or four. That's two games we've scored two and conceded two, it's maybe 2 or 3 small details and involves something a bit more radical like subbing any * who instead of counter attacking passes the * ball backwards when we're in behind them.

The whole six in midfield are responsible as a unit and obviously all the heat falls on the defense. But for me it's the midfield who go two nil up and forget to play football.

Forrest gets a bit frustrated after chasing shadows for half an hour

I wish Griffiths connected better with that great ball Forrest laid on. It was a frustrating night for him but his clever movement for that throw in deserved a finish.

He should have switched sides last night, sometimes you just come up against a better player.
