Beautiful Sunday - the IRA version
Not just the goals which were excellently taken but his all round game today was great - that was just as important for me.

There was a period where he was genuinely hated by a late portion of our fans. He couldn’t flick his hair without getting abused :56:

Been one of the better players in the Rodgers era. We are probably lucky he’s not a few years younger otherwise teams from down south would 100% be sniffing.

It was mainly due to his attitude, which was * poor for a large portion of time.

Now? In fact since Rodgers' arrival, he has been sensational - both attitude and on the park.

He was great before Brendan came in. He was amazing for Ronny as well. Some people couldn't admit it though.

He has taken his game to a new level though. One thing Brendan knows, it's how to turn wide players into superstars.

He was frustrating though, when he wasn’t on his game he was an enpty jersey? Now though, one of our hardest workers and even when it’s not working for him going forward he doesn’t hide and is an absolute pest, extremely hard working.

That’s what impresses me. He’s always had talent but Brendan’s gave him heart. And that was the most annoying thing about himz

I disagree mate. He found that heart under Ronny. He got too comfortable under Neil Francis and carried it into the beginning of Ronnys time. He was definitely fitter and more committed by the end of Deilas reign.

He was still majorly inconsistent under Deila. Never scored anywhere near enough goals.

That's changed since Rodgers came in.

JF: The gaffer asked us to be more ruthless in front of goal and as you saw today, the boys were really hungry after the disappointment of midweek."

JF: "It was a really good first-half. We didn’t keep it going and score the same number of goals in the second but everyone’s delighted with the win.

JF: "When we started, we were on the front foot, we pressed well as a team and everything was coming off. We created a lot of chances and, thankfully, I was taking them so I’m delighted with the four goals.

JF: " For three of my goals,
    @Tom_Rogic
and I played a good one-two. Tom’s great to play with and you saw that today. I’m just glad we managed to score a few goals and keep a clean sheet."

JF: "I wanted to keep contributing to the team and score more. I went in at half-time having scored four and I’ve never scored four before. I’m delighted with the goals and the performance today."

He was putting in a shift under Deila. Not weighing in with enough goals but he was providing assists and working hard.

No chance, he wanted to leave by the end of Ronny’s reign and wasn’t kicking his * until he suddenly exploded into life and had an amazing game. The work wasn’t there, the dig wasn’t there, his positioning and covering for his team mates, being a team player all wasn’t there.

That happened as soon as Brendan came in and it’s something he cleary works at.

Also just checked his assist for Ronny’s last season. He set up two goals.

He was basically banished from the starting eleven in Deila’s last season because he wasn’t signing a new contract - rightly or wrongly.

His performances under Deila when he played were very good. Granted, he’s reached new levels under Rodgers, but I thought the way people talked about him towards the end of Deila’s reign (and the very start of Brendan’s) was ridiculous.

    It was under Deila
He apparently wanted to leave and wasn't getting a game. That is different to playing *. He was brilliant the first of that season. He also became a regular under Ronny.
