I was worried at first having watched it again could have been worse for James.

Still a bad tackle, watching it a few times, guy tries to slide the ball with his left but misses it and its his right which catches Forrest that comes through and gets the ball. Wreckless tackle.

We're in danger of sanitising the game too much. If it were a Celtic player on the other end we would be saying he went for the ball and got it. It's a shame Shooders git injured, but a fair tackle with no malice as I see it

He didnt get the ball though if you watch it, he slides with his left misses the ball, his right knee catches Forrest planted leg and then his leg follows through and he knocks the ball with his right shin.

Wasn't really over the top or a shocking challenge, hes just mistimed the tackle then his other leg has followed through and caught Forrest while his leg was planted.

Would imagine Forrest will be fine, probably just shat it at the pain in his knee at being caught with his leg planted.

The one the * left the ground and flew into Sinclair was worse for me, one of our players is going to take a really bad one before these * do anything to stop it.

Can't believe he never even got a foul for that tackle ffs. About time Rodgers had that word with the head of the referees. Unless he's saving it for mind games a couple of days before the Hun game but I'm not really sure mind games will be necessary :56:

    I'm not picky.
I honestly don't think there was really anything wrong with the challenge. It was really more just a bit reckless than anything else. Just seemed to be one of those 50/50 types of tackles where someone comes off worse. I personally think that if it was an intended malicious tackle the boy's leg(s) would have been straight out.

If the ball is yellow then it is behind the right side of Shooders right leg. If that is the case then there is no proof that he misses the ball with his left. In fact it would be very likely that he got a connection and that it is his right that has hurt Forrest.

Either way, I still don't see it as a bad challenge

    Bit of a freak challenge.

Think it was Rodgers talking about players being 'technically good tacklers', that tackle for me was the perfect example of poor technique in the tackle.

Not malicious, just very poor application. Your mans right knee is actually fully bent and the knee hits the ground before anything.

In Brendan's press conference he spoke about it still being sore but that it probably wouldn't be a real issue or concern. Wouldn't expect to see him today personally but probably at the weekend.
