Gees peace Venglos, Johnny Hayes

 

Jonny Hayes is a good standard player for our League, but he's not someone who's going to improve us.

 

The sort of player that would be described as a "good player for Aberdeen or Hearts", funnily enough!

McCann actually said the Huns should sign him, yesterday. Which tells you his level..

I wonder where Venglos got that idea..

 

Both Forrest and Roberts lack the quality required to destroy the very best opponents consistently.
But both are improving, and both can impact games positively when opposition defences tire by offering different problems.

Yesterday demonstrated that perfectly.
Forrest generally wants to attack full backs wide with pace, Roberts uses his qualities to cuts inside full backs and the winning goal showed the advantage of 2 types of winger.
Thankfully we also have Sinclair who is capable of both attacking strategies, has a better strike rate and is also better physically for Forrest and Roberts to learn from.

Long term however Roberts may be gone in 5/6 months. (Unless he wants to stay, and Rodgers rates him)
And GMS hasn't convinced yet.....
Another wide attacking player might not be out of the question

Wasn't bad, but was ineffective..

Alright having pace but an unwillingness to cross first time or really go on the outside, is frustrating. Turning back inside and passing the buck is what I saw a lot. Even the 2 time's he ripped his man, he * a cross out for a goal kick and the other was tame as *..

3 game's on the trot now, Paddy has come on and made more of an impact..

 

He's not played bad, but Paddy has just played better

 

I thought he was decent, similar to Sinclair. Roberts was very good when he came on

 

He's annoying me at the minute..

 

Thought he was * today. His first touch at times is woeful. Missed an absolute sitter when Gamboa put him through in the second half. Took far too long to get his shot away and got tackled.

If Dembele is back on Wednesday, then Forrest should be dropped.

 

Agree, not been up to much in the Sevco game and games since.

Paddy has earned the right wing role back for me just now.

 

A just wana slap him aboot the heed and tell him to get the finger oot!

He's got a massive opportunity here and he's half arsing it!

Back to cutting inside passing the ball off then hiding for 5-10 mins, rinse and repeat until subbed.

 

Went down and laid on the floor for a few second's for fuckall, then realised that was the old him with hand's in the air and jumped back up..
