Forrest is a scapegoat at the moment, for me it's new manager and a new opportunity for him to prove himself and see if Brendan can get the best out of him. Forget about what went on under Deila or before that under Lenny, it's irrelevant now. I still think he's a very useful tool to have in Europe to relieve pressure using him as an outlet. Big match for him tonight, as he's expect to start, hope he shuts up a lot of people.

Is he a scapegoat? He's just not that good, more argument for efe being a scapegoat tbh.

I'd start him tonight, give Roberts some breathing space giving Astana someone with a bit of pace on the other side to worry about.

That definitely took some of the burden off of Roberts and had them back peddling more..

Fancy us to really get at them on the flanks on our big pitch..

He will stretch the defence given the chance. Good option to have tonight.

He could have a good game tonight and it won't change my opinion. I'm sure others are the same.

He's not a scapegoat. That is just a scapegoat excuse people use to defend him.:smiley-laughing002:

He's just an average winger with a * attitude who has never fulfilled any potential he might have had. 25 now. We could and should be looking to do so much better.

Their left back looked really weak and only managed to deal with Roberts by kicking him and getting cover from the middle, if Forrest is on the other side he'll be offered less cover and allow Roberts the chance to go at him 1 v 1 and if not Forrest will be running at them. Think it's how Rodgers will want the team to be if Sinclair ever signs.

I never said we shouldn't look for better, but I don't think he should be sold as he still can offer something as a squad option and especially be useful in Europe. I still want us to get Sinclair in as he's a clear upgrade.

I don't want Forrest to leave though, nor do I really buy this "poor attitude" stuff, I think he has his uses but granted is very limited. I think he should be kept around for games where we're up against it and need a serious outlet to relieve pressure as that's what he excels at. Even if we got another winger in we'd still only have 3 so selling Forrest would be quite silly.

His attitude for me is clear to see. The way he huffs and puffs around the park and flicks that cows lick of his back and forth when things aren't going right.

Considering he has been brought up through the Celtic system and is supposedly a boyhood fan, he has very little heart.

    Heard he was a hun!

Anyways, more importantly, IF he is playing tonight, he better cast his mind back to his performance against Karagandy, and remember what it was like to actually be loved (briefly) by the Celtic support for showing commitment and desire to win an extremely important football match, because right now? I don't speak for the Celtic support, but I really do not know one single person who actually likes him.......and that's mostly down to his poor attitude on the park.

He showed desire tonight. Was shutting down and defending well, challenging in the air and not passing the buck.

That's more of what you want to see from him to be fair to him.
