This is exactly what I was thinking, would be a devastating combo for opposition defences. Would love to see them both in full flow against Sevco next season tying Tavernier and Wallace in knots.

He's been given countless chances, but if Rodgers wants to give him another, I'll back it up. I don't have faith in it working, but let's see how it goes.

Get him tae *. If he's getting to hang around and Rodgers has already stated he likes a small squad then I worry about the funds he has to spend

That's where I am as well.

Rodgers probably thinks he can get the best out of him, I think he'll end up finding out he's a heartless player that hides as well though

When are people going to realise that it's nothing to do with his motivation and desire? He's a rotten footballer and hasn't developed at all since his first season. He's the type of player that must leave if we're serious about improvement.

It's not the football that's the problem, he has qualities and he has shown those qualities at the very highest level for us. It is 100% percent his attitude, give hin Kieran Tierney's desire and heart then there would be no issue.

I loved him when he broke through, I think we all did. He was a very exciting prospect. Injuries and an alleged lack of desire of whatever have really hampered him and he simply hasn't developed his game in the way he should have.

We don't have many genuine wide players in the squad, so whether it's getting Forrest firing or bringing new players in, we need to address that.

The club should offer him a year deal if the manager sees great things in him .
There is no doubting his talent but we all agree it is his attitude that is the problem .

I burst out laughing when I read Rodgers call his style aggressive. I know what he's getting at, he likes to hurt teams by being direct, but he is literally the least aggressive player in our squad by a distance.

He's 25 in a week, a lot of people are still treating him like a kid. He's all the man he's ever going to be.

People do the same with Scott Allan, though, who is also 25 soon.

In footballing terms he must only be about 21/22 though, considering the amount of development he missed out on through injury.

I have no problems if Brendan wants to keep him around.

I agree. The pair of them could/should have become very good footballers, but neither has played anywhere near enough games for players of their age.

Yup i think it is actually the mentality of young players in this country to think they have made it as soon as they get near the first team, i am not saying them all but these two definetly have that attitude and have both turned out rather average

I know. It's strange to think that two of the biggest * in Lennon's squad (Samaras and Forrest) were the most two aggresive players when running with the ball against the opposition defence......

    Go figure!

I want him to go, just so all the wee lassies will stop posting emojis with love heart eyes in every post/picture with him in it on Celtic twitter and FB. I mean, with all the hunks we have in our team to choose from to fancy, they go for that wee * producer?

In all seriousness, I don't know if I can keep putting myself through this with him, hoping he'll finally deliver consistently. During the Europa games, people(including myself)started to get excited about him again, but he just doesn't seem to be the type of player that wants to put the work in to improve his overall game. I think the best thing for him and for us is for him to move on, when yer own support boo ye, it will take a lot for him to turn it around and I don't trust his dedication and application.

I thought we'd finally seen the back of him there as well.

I suppose it's relatively risk free but how many chances does he honestly deserve? Genuinely never understood the hype. He's a very average footballer. Not great technically and very predictable. Not to mention injury prone and inconsistent, even for a winger.
