The goal he scored against Shakhter Karagandy in the Champions League qualifier was pretty useful, too. It's a pity he's been so erratic and plagued by injury. He also seems to be a difficult 'fit' into any team system, and his finishing touch has too often been wayward. If Rodgers can get the best out of him, then great, but it's been a long time since he's been compared to McGeady (who himself never really realised his potential with us). HH

The problem isn't his fitness. The problem is he's pish. A good performance every blue moon won't change that fact.

He's regressed as a player over the past few years, and he's always been a coward. Get him to *.

Big difference between Forrest and Guidetti.

Guidetti was banging the goals in and was on his way to 20 goals by Christmas, then his form just completely dropped - likely because he didn't get a reasonable offer from Celtic.

Forrest was just being James Forrest. He's been like this for far too long. He could have a contract until 2020 - he'd still have been playing the same as he was last season.

If Forrest stuck to what he's good at(as a right winger )using his Pace to get to the by line and putting crosses in he would be really useful for us once he cuts inside he gives away any advantage he has over opposition defenders because the rest of his game ain't that strong

'Rodgers is also set to offer a new long term contract to James Forrest as CQN has reported on this morning.'

Not too fussed either way, as long as he can remain fit and Rodgers can get the best out of him he'll be a decent option to have I think. Obviously Roberts has that RW spot nailed down for this season but we only have him for a year folk have to remember. Hope we're getting ready with a long term contract for Rogic also.

I still highly rate forrest and think he has something that is lacking in the rest of the team - raw pace , he's a good option to have and when on form is our most dangerous player although in recent seasons thats been too sporadic. But i think rodgers is the man to get the most out of him

He's not good enough, he's been playing at the same level for the last 4 seasons and we're all just waiting for the moment it all clicks for him. But it's never gonna happen. He needs to go.

Hope that's bullshit. He needs a fresh environment and we need a guy who can consistently do the business.

I wouldn't be surprised if he's having second thoughts about the deal, we're the biggest club he'll ever be at IMO. Was surprised we offered him another 4 years considering he's contributed HeeHaw in the last 2. The minute he refused/stalled it should have been immediately taken off the table.

Just get him away, doesn't deserve a new contract. Too much of a shitebag that hides on the pitch.

Wouldn't be against him getting a new contract. He's a dangerous player on his day.

    * shocking if true, the * is a wage thief get him to *

So we have basically 1 decent striker and 1 decent fit centre back and the priority is to offer this imposter a new contract, is there any money for new players or is the wool getting pulled over our eyes again

I'd rather he left based on what he has shown over the last couple of years, but if Rodgers can get the best out of him, great.
