I could not agree more. If we could get him fit and have him for a whole season he could be a player of the year level player for us. But sadly just like Shaun Maloney before him he just constantly seems to pick up injuries. Losing him for Wednesday in Slovenia is a big blow as he could have been massive on the counter attack for us.

I feel bad for wee James but this is happening all too often to him. Looks like he needs special help training/developing.

I really like Forrest. But I have a theory, when I look at him running full tilt, it doesn't look like a natural run! He looks very tensed up, head down and arms flailing everywhere. Surely that would take it's toll over 90 mins, never mind a few games or a season. Craig Bellamy, was the same, speed merchant but used every muscle and sinew running he spent a fair bit on the treatment table.Don't know if this can be rectified. But just an observation!:50:

Doubt Ronny's wanting to risk him on the plastic pitches.

Extremely explosive players like Forrest are always at risk of injury . Hamstring especially

Owen, Aguero , Maloney , are a few similiar examples.

He's really been non stop injured for well over 2 year now. Last time he seemed to be fully fit playing every week he was probably the best player in the team, mind he scored a double at Easter Road and over that period of about 6/7 games it was like he was carrying the team.

Since then he's probably not played 5 game in a row.

March 2012, the League Cup final against Kilmarnock up to then that season he was injury free and then he missed the rest of the season(about 10 games). Since then it's been injury after injury every couple of games.

    Is he out again?

All the more reason why we shouldn't be trying to squabble over 100k or so with Dundee Utd for Mackay-Steven. Pay the 250k, and get him in now. He could go right into the team for the game this coming weekend. So predictable what is going to happen. Wait until deadline day and bid about 180k or something in that region. It's pathetic in my opinion.

Don't think he has been injured at all the last 2-3 months its just the fact Ronny is being absolutely extra careful with him, i.e not playing him in the starting XI in back to back games yet, not playing him on Killie or Hamilton's plastic pitches and not bothering taking him to Gran Canaria for two meaningless friendlies.

Make no mistake, he's injured. Ronnie is just trying to downplay it. He hasn't been in the squad for a month.

    I'm not picky.
    No, mate, he's been injured.

He played against St. Mirren where he scored one and set one up and was subbed at halftime. He then played the whole game against Utd on 21st December yet we've not seen hide nor hair of him since.

It would be a strange decision by Deila to not play Forrest at all - or even have him on the subs bench - since then if he wasn't injured.

Apparently Lennon wants to sign him for Bolton, I would be happy enough to sell him if we could get 2 million for him, could use that money to buy vossen. He's a good player on his day but far too injury prone for my liking. Would be happy to see him go.

Don't see it happening. He just got over his injury problems and I expect a lot from him this season.

Think we'd be wanting about £4m for him tbh.

I don't think Bolton can pay that.

I wouldn't miss him. Feel for the guy with his injury problems he's had. But I always find myself disappointed with his performances rather than coming away thinking 'Forrest played well th' day'.

Think we have all been saying this the last 3-4 seasons . But it's just been one injury after another
