I thought he played well first 20-25 mins, then he virtually disappeared after that until he was taken off.

We need to keep him fit, only player willing to take ball and run at defenders and have threat of pace. Don't know if anyone else noticed but looks a lot leaner which might benefit him.

It's frightening that people can't see how good he is.

If we can get him fully fit and playing a full season he could easily be our next £10m rated player.

Dont know, he still does a lot of running when he plays in the middle. Same as Sterling for Liverpool played in there a lot last season and showed his best form there.

Not many teams can cope with such a quick player playing in that position as they can just turn and get away time and time again, the majority of the time the people in the attacking midfield position are slow and thats what defenders and midfielders are used to.

He put so much into that first half hour though and he's just back after a long lay off.

    To be expected.

    Loonballs.

He's quite a good allround player, decent goalscorer, good crosser, good passer, good touch, dribbler. His main weakness is he is almost permanantly injured and weak and got knocked off the ball a fair bit although he looked more solid tonight, arms look bulkier as if he's worked on his upper body also a few times he was barged about with 2/3 players and came away with the ball, before on those occasions he'd have went down.

With the amount of bodies St Johnstone had in the middle tonight (as will most SPFL defences) I just worry he could get bogged down in there.

he looked much better committing his marker and then moving inside and scaring the bejesus out of the defence who didn't know who was to pick him up.

Would depend who was playing round him, if it was Berget on the left and McGregor on the right he probably would as they two look slow so the opposition wouldnt be worried about them. But if it was two other fast wingers Tonev(dont know never seen him) and another guy then, teams would be worried about all 3 of them and with them being quick movers theyd be hard to pick up.

I think if he plays in the middle it needs to be at Parkhead, tend to get far more space.

I would say that would have the opposite effect at home, teams tend to sit in and keep it compact meaning much less space in the middle.

Much bigger pitch though, they can't get it as cramped as it was today. There's always space to move into the games at Parkhead.

Such an asset when fit. Let's hope we can get 30-40 games out of him this season.

needs to be playing as an out and out winger in a 4-4-2 or a proper 4 5 1 imo . needs to be hugging the touchline and getting to the byline whipping in crosses. the rise of the fullback in the modern game is killing the midfield wingers .
