    Tap in.

    Tap ins in the CL.

There is literally no point in debating with that.

Sure there was absolutely no technical ability in being there in the first place...

There's so many games he's played well but its forgotten about, there's a reason Lennon chucked him into the team every time he was deemed fit enough to play that's because when he did play he was our stand out best player.

    4mins onwards.

Perhaps 'tap in' was a bit strong but if he had missed that you'd be asking serious questions. It's actually an own goal.:56:

Would it make any difference to you if he had keepy upped it 14 times before doing a back flip and stuck it in the top corner?

You would criticise him for not doing a somersault as well...

He scored. He also found acres of space to have this so called tap in.

    Nae technical ability though.

    He didn't score.

The keeper saved his shot and it bounced off the incoming defender. If he isn't there that isn't a goal and Forrest is left missing a sitter.

He found a bit of space at the back post. Ok, I and everyone else take back everything about him having no technical ability...:56:

Oh aye, he only found a bit of space at the back post...

Celtic players have been doing that away from home in Europe the whole millenium.

    * me.

How does that prove he has technical ability with the ball though? He still missed the chance regardless.

That pesky CL, its a doddle. All you have to do is be better than forrest and find some space at the back post.

    If only MON knew that...

    It doesn't.

Having eyes proves he has technical ability.

I don't get annoyed at Forrest's performances. Anyone whos played on the wing will tell you how hard it is to be consistent and influence games. You can count the decent wingers we've had lately on one hand.

Its his laziness. And that * greeting instead of getting on with the game. His attitude is definitely questionable. I honestly think if he grows up a bit his game will step up another level.

    :50:

He did seem to be rectifying that laziness/prima donna attitude last season.

It reared its head again the other night though.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt considering he wasn't even meant to be playing until about 30 seconds before kick off.

    It's clearly not his goal.

That sums it up for me too. His laziness/attitude has annoyed me at times but I can live with it when he's at his best. Also, not sure why his technical ability is being questioned, it's far from the worst at the club.

It's one thing having a go at the guy for his workrate, injuries, mental state of mind.

No technical ability is * stupid though, I really can't take anyone seriously who believes that.

Shame as well, because it's some good posters coming away with it too. It literally doesn't make any sense, unless I'm on the outside of some elaborate joke.

GMS is the best at this by a long shot, imo. Even Armstrong can do it pretty well.
Shooders has talent but I think he's let the attention etc over the last 4 odd years get to his heed too much, his attitude stinks. He sorts that out and applies himself to realise his potential, then he'd be a perfect backup-stand in for GMS but I don't think he'll ever be as good as GMS.
And it's not like I've got GMS syndrome or something, I just think it's clear that wee Jimmy Shooders is just naturally kind of, inconsistent...if such a thing exists.:smiley-laughing002:

Seriously though? I like Hayes and totally agree with the rest of your quote (that I shortened) about Shooders having nothing on GMS but he's surely (at his best) better than Hayes.

Hayes is the better player , has an absolutely cracking left peg and a real eye for goal as well as pace, one i would have definitely been open to us bringing here. Why is Forrest better ? Forrest and Hayes play in the same league and Forrest consistently struggles to influence football matches at this standard whereas Hayes has been one of the better players in this league for a while.
