I'd agree with those 3, aye.

His attitude is one of the main reasons I can't take to him. If he could sort it and just use his main attributes effectively I'd probably end up taking to him. Nothing better than seeing a winger take on his man and beat him.

I think this "argument" will end very early on in this season anyway, as... as soon as GMS gets his run, I think yous will realise exactly what we've missed on the wing for years.

It's all very good thinking we've developed a good player.. But in all honesty we haven't... And Ross County developed a better one!

You just said his ability is questionable, then qualify it by saying if he used his main attributes effectively you would take to him?

    what one is it?

SeanDaleer, I'd like to know what you think his genuine attributes are?

Other than pace, what has he got, that's better than GMS?

    His overall ability is questionable/debatable.

If he uses his pace which is probably his main outstanding attribute and is direct and takes on the man rather than * himself at alot of opportunities and cutting inside then yes I'd probably be more open to him staying with us.

There are plenty areas of his game which are questionable. Technique, decision making, attitude are 3 which stand out. His overall ability can still be questionable even if he does have one or two good points. Like alot of players.

We've actually already had this debate. Which leads me to believe you have the attention span of a goldfish. :icon_mrgreen:

He has a great first touch and excellent link up play.

Him and Cifcti actually might get on like a house on fire.

    Blow me.

This thread is going round in circles min.

Just agree to disagree.. No one will change anyone else opinion, no matter how long we debate it.

    Peace Out :shamrock:

You may have had this debate with someone else, but me and you haven't.

First touch??, better than Gary's? Gary has probably one of the best first touch i've seen in Scottish football, his technical ability is second to none in our squad... and the fact he has pace and knowledge of the game makes him absololutely superior to James Forrest in their position. So i'd suggest Jamesy learns how to play in another position as i'm sure. (in fact I know :icon_mrgreen:) that GMS is going to be first choice on the right this season.

I don't disagree that at the moment GMS is nailed on starter for the RW spot.

Best first touch in Scottish football? :smiley-laughing002: I think you might have a touch of MacKayitis mate.

    Possibly.

But i stick by what I say. He is most technically gifted player in the league in my opinion. I can post a video similar to what you tried backing your opinion up with, only with real talent in the video... I won't bother though.

And once again if this is another one of jamesy's make or break seasons, then he better hope Ronny plays GMS on the left, or he has plans for Forrest on the right, otherwise I canna see wee Jimmy being in the green and white next season.

Ronny will play whoever deserves the place, he has already shown he wont favour anycunt if they aren't doing the business.

Which is why this is a big season for wee jamesy jimmy shooders. Being injury free wont save him anymore, he has genuine competiton and better shape up quick or get left behind.

Agreed, Forrest was often at his best when he was linking up with Hooper, quick balls into feet, one-twos etc. Ciftci looks like he enjoys linking up in a similar way.

Nah no one.... other than the guy who is his direct competition.....GMS has several ways of going past a player, not just hitting it past him, and hoping you'll beat him to it.

Not to mention GMS' link up play, passing, shooting and crossing is superior.

He's more skillful and tricky but for all out bursting * down the wing. Wee shooders at full pelt and at his best, leaves * for dead..
