Let's remember folks that he was best against 9 men when they were pushed back and he started running at them..

    Just saying, perspective..

Find it remarkable that someone who has grown up at Celtic can look so disinterested in playing for us.

He's hardly played all season. There is no reason whatsoever to be judging him. It's not like we've splurged millions on transferring him. He remains a youth player that we are lucky to have, IMO. He'll impress as soon as he gets a good run of games.

He's a decent player but I'd question his commitment to reaching his potential as well. I don't think Deila will put up with him much longer unless he gets his act together. The arrival of Mackay-Steven and Armstrong could revitalise his Celtic career or it could be the end of it. I certainly know who I'd rather have starting at present.

So because he didn't cost anything he is exempt from criticism ?

How on earth are we "lucky " to have a player that has very few attributes and hasn't mastered the basics ? Guy offers next to nothing other than pace . As soon as GMS , Armstrong and Commons are back in contention Forrest will be back warming the bench. Further investment in the playing squad come the summer will push him further down the pecking order. Its punt time .

We are talking about a player who has injury problems I would imagine confidence is a major factor in his performance at the moment . give the lad a chance to prove himself again ..

Looks a yard of two slower just now tbh. Understandable after no game time and tons of injuries. Needs to get sorted soon though.

At what point will he stop being called a youth player, as he is just 6 months younger than Stefan?

Those saying he was involved in a lot in the 2nd half and played decent, does that allow him the ability to make half arsed attempts at covering back or to catch balls he clearly could before they go out of play?

Doesn't matter if he is Lionel Messi, he should be giving his all for the entire time he is on the pitch and he blatantly isn't at the moment.

Sometimes I feel it takes him a while to get into the game and then suddenly he ups a level. His performances could either be put down to poor general fitness or it could simply be genetic in that's how his body works. Players are expected to hit the ground running in every game and not everyone is going to respond to Ronnys expectations in the same way. If this is how it is with Forrest then maybe Celtic is the wrong team for him. I feel that most of the team have been able to step up but he seems to be unable or not compliant to change.......I'm thinking it's the former rather than the latter.

Ronny in the paper saying he has not pulled a muscle for 5 months... and they have him on a special training programme.. he hopes that we will see the benefit next season and is in his long term plans

so let us all wait and see what the results are .. in the meantime Ronny, he is not at the level to perform for 90 mins so use him as a sub.. or give him only 45 mins...

maybe the VVD sending off threw your game plan out the window but fans are frustrated by James .. and yes we understand he has had injuries -- then why did we not have cover in place long before you arrived here?

I'm willing to stick with the longterm if you are - you know more than any TC poster and see him every day so just win the treble and you'll be fine :50:

Wee Jamsey is and will be our player of the year next year.

He's only young & has a bright future ahead of him. May I remind everyone, spurs we're linked with a £10m move for him.

He's got one last chance for me, if Ronny manage to get him fully fit and a pre-season under his belt he has next season for me. It's worth a try, we know the player the frusrsting wee * can be, we wouldn't get * all for him just now, so why not see if Ronny can get the best of his talent?

    He's * *.

Absolutely no technical ability, can't cross and can't shoot. Give wee Henderson a start before him!

James has a couple of months to rekindle his Celtic career, or he will just become another Joe Miller type. Tricky wee player who could skin any man on his day... but had far too few of those days!

The biggest disappointment for me has been his apparent lack of appetite this season. He really needs to toughen-up, and bust a gut to make himself available all the time on the park!

No improvement by the end of this season... then no place for him next season! He's had more than his fair share of chances!

Needs to start hitting the byline and taking people on instead of fannying about and losing the ball. He got a ball into feet yesterday and his first touch took it above his head.

    Totally agree with this.

He's one of the most frustrating players ever for me, but the reason he is so frustrating is because he has so much potential. I'd give him another pre season also, if we can get him fit and playing regular he would be a massive boost to the team imo.

Has to work harder and put more effort in.

Seems like we've been saying that for about three seasons now.
