Someone would buy him, gets another wage off the bill aswell, put it towards a half decent winger, with a good injury record and more importantly an assist record to match!

There's been talk of £7m odd for him in the summer.

If we got roughly half of that I would be happy. I don't think anyone will come in for him though.

Shocking attitude from Celtic fans, the boy constantly plays through the pain barrier and is trying everything to get his fitness right and add too that he is actually one of our better players. But aye lets just get rid, throw him into the rubbish heap.

I remember the flack Maloney took after leaving Celtic to go to the Prem because we "stuck by him" through his injury problems, maybe he sensed that the fans would turn against him if things never stated looking up.

Where have you seen that? Seems ridiculously high to me. I think when healthy he is one of our best players but he hasn't been consistently healthy since the year he broke through. I don't think anyone would buy him for anywhere near 7 million. We are better off keeping him and hoping he can put his injuries behind him.

We shouldn't worry about his wage bill. His wages are paid for by his insurance company when he is off injured and ill . This means Celtic rarely have to pay him . The problems that will arise are if he went to another club , their might be pages of exclusions, and similarly when his contract runs out and he signs a new one .

When Spurs was linked tail end of last season. I don't think we would, personally.

He can brilliant at times and other times lazy and not got clue what he's doing, the only thing that * me off is his positioning, he can never keep the width on the wing always closes down space in the final 3rd. Don't think he'll go unless a EPL comes in, Cardiff were interested not long ago.

Knew somebody would come and use the terms 'shocking' and 'the boy'. If he wasn't Scottish & from our youth system everybody would want him gone. Always injured, and not very good. Cash in before it's too late!!

He is good, there's no doubt about that, however if he's never fit we may as well punt him while he still has a good reputation.

Too inconsistent for me, best thing about him is his pace but when teams play deep as they tend to do in league games, he's kept quiet.

It's a valid viewpoint to want to sell him. I don't really want rid of him to be honest, though.

When he gets a good run of games and gathers some confidence he goes and gets himself injured again! if he could stay clear of injures he is one of our best players imo and is one of the players in our team that can make things happen and get the fans on their feet with his pace just unfortunate he is injury prone!!

I don't think we should sell him , as he is one of the few players we have that can turn the game on its head by a wee burst of speed or magic.
No doubt we need to get more game time but maybe next season he will get a better run at it . It is hard to get your hands on someone of James's ability and it would be foolish to get rid of him if we can possibly keep him .

He'll be 23 next season, so hopefully we'll see him start to really stamp his authority on games. He's a bit hit and miss and he seems to be a bit injury prone but when he's on song, he offers something genuinely exciting. No way we should be getting rid of him.
