    CELTIC are delighted to announce that James Forrest has signed a new five-year deal with the club.

    The 19-year-old, a product of the Celtic Youth Academy, made his first-team debut against Motherwell towards the end of last season, and he scored in a 4-0 victory for the Hoops.

    This season, he's been an important part of Neil Lennon's squad, and most recently scored one of Celtic's four goals in the victory over Hearts last Wednesday.

    So far, James has made 15 first-team appearances, scoring four goals, and his wing play has thrilled the Celtic support.

    Heard this a few weeks ago, supposedly his wage has been upped from £1.5k to £10k and will rise year on year. Great money for a 19 year old.

    He already is imo, his pace and delivery into the box no-one else had in the team. At the start of the season he was great, took him a while to get up to speed again but he looked sharp against against the Diets. Has a goal threat too, maybe even more-so than Maloney.
