Looks like that episode of The Simpson’s Homer tries to dupe the comic book guy by being Shaquille O’Neal.

A * moron? How very liberal and progressive of you to say so.

Look, just give up replying to my posts. You're on my ignore list now and have been for a while. So your condemnation of my views on same * marriage or abortion means the square root of * all to me.

Wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it. Right is right, even if nobody is doing it.

Correct and on the subjects you mention, you’re the bigoted coward who’s in the wrong, who hides behind a religion he pretends to follow in order to justify his abhorrent views. I’ll reply to whatever I feel like.

And who decides what wrong is? A bunch of Iron Age desert dwelling madmen who think a bush is *'s voice? A Church who for decades let their priests get away with * kids?

No matter which invisible friend in the sky anyone chooses to follow, in a civilised society, it should have absolutely no bearing on someone else's right to autonomy over their body or to marry their partner.

You are against abortion and gay marriage. Fair enough. Nobody is forcing you to have one or attend one, just as you should not be able to deny it to anyone. Religious logic baffles me.

If you are going to choose some standard by which to judge absolute right and wrong, you could probably do better than Christianity mate. Abortion is bad, much better to wait until they are born and then enslave them or dash their head against a rock eh?

    O daughter Babylon, you devastator!
Happy shall they be who pay you back
what you have done to us!
Happy shall they be who take your little ones
and dash them against the rock!

Lightening up this thread, as no Politician is worth a Celtic fan falling out over.
I would trust any of them, power either corrupts or encourages extremes.

    Anyway.
Coincidentally, I recently came across by chance a Spurs video of our Bhoy, great and kind of sad to watch and be reminded just how good he was and is.

That isnt religious logic, that is a belief in a system of laws based on a shared sense of morality. If Rees-Mogg or @Markybhoy believe that abortion or gay marriage is wrong, whether it is driven by religion or not, it is perfectly sensible to want to apply a rule of law that doesnt allow it. If I believe it is immoral to "* kids" (to use your own crude example of an immoral act) then I want to see laws in place to reflect that opinion. It isnt an argument that as long as I dont do it I shouldnt want to get in the way of others doing it. That is the entire point in a rule of law - it isnt limited to the religious.

To my point earlier, religious belief shouldnt protect one from criticism (especially politicians) and people should be able to articulate an opinion beyond "* told me to do it" (especially politicians!). But Rees Mogg is actually very articulate and very good at debating his views whether motivated by religion or not, and yet his critics often seem to dwell on his religious views more than his actual ability to argue his points.

Gay marriage, for example, is only wrong according to religious law. It causes no harm to anyone. Child abuse is clearly and obviously harmful to its victims (although child abuse is justified in the bible and gay marriage isnt) There is an obviously huge difference between gay marriage and child rape, unless you are a religious nutter.

And who care's if Rees-Mogg was articulate and can argue, if the point of view he is arguing for belongs in the 1800s. I honestly couldn't give a toss about his debating or oratory skills, the content of the words matter a * of a lot more than how well he says them

Loathed to bring up talk of any politician (to me they are all untrustworthy by nature) but - in case some missed the comedy.

Along with Nigel Lawson applying to be French in essence.:celtman2:

If any genuine care for others in any form what so ever actually still exists in people such as this, it would be laying very deep in their bowels, hidden under years of acquired & accumulated deadly to humankind bacteria.

Regardless of what comes out their mouths, anyone who actually believes them is at best naïve.

    * is just trying to do what Farage did during the Brexit vote.

Getting his ducks in a row for a huge windfall once the exit from the EU is * up or goes hard and causes a dip (putting it nicely) on the £ against the €.

The fact that not one MP from any other party does not bring up these underhanded devious plottings and massive hypocrisies of someone like Mogg who's trying to work both ends in saying UK can flourish with a hard brexit but then set up this fund in an EU nation on the basis that a hard brexit is a huge risk.

If that is not a conflict in interest then I have a 20 inch *.

He's not a particularly nice man himself, but today was a step too far..

It's disappointing how many people seem to find it funny.
