Overspending generally doesnt turn out too well for the ordinary folk. I dont agree with a lot of what Mogg says but Id vote for him over May or Corbyn any day of the week.

its only a matter of time before the socialists win power again in britain/europe and proper socialists not this made up social democrats that took over after the cccp collapsed who are really free market liberals that throw some bones to the public

you know people will get * off eventually by the establishment rich and foreign pals looting the countries and leaving the commoners poorer than their mothers and fathers generation, they might have to march and fight for a better deal or it may come from a peaceful revolution, corbyn may get in and start resdistributing the treasury money back towards public and social services and dare i say it take back some if not all british infrastructure necessaties

i long for the day the parasites are lined up against the wall like the imperial * they are ;)

Arguably the only country in Europe ran by true socialists in this generation is the same one that would have gone busto had the baddy establishment not bailed them out several times.

But I do agree as regards the move to socialism in general.

Outstanding on the Daily Politics just now. Absolutely pathetic, yet entirely predictable, that 80% of the interview has been heckling him about his religion and his views on abortion and gay marriage. Defending his position like a trooper though and taking no * off an interviewer and a broadcaster with a clear agenda.

So even with his privileged, private education background and unbelievable amount of resources provided to him in the world's best-funded university, he came away from it all with a 2:1 in History?

A 2:1 in History from Oxford is not to be sniffed at.

With the resources they provide (especially in those days, before online research), giving such a massive head-start, it's a sign he's probably not the renowned intellect he and his supporters claim he is.

There’s only so much you can read into a degree mark. His debating skills and his composure and respect is what he’s acclaimed for.

Being religious or not really shouldnt get in the way of a politician being criticised or challenged over his beliefs on things like abortion and gay marriage. Especially given they could be in a position to pass legislation on these issues. That said he does seem to get far more attention than many other politicians get who likely hold the same views (muslim MPs for example).

People dont go to top private schools and Oxford to worry about what grade of degree they get! That isnt really the point and doesnt reflect intellectual capability at all. That said, I probably agree with you that such a degree isnt proof of intelligence either given his background.

He's clever, a great orator, and one of the VERY few politicians about right now who can actually debate.
