Don't get me wrong, I'm not for one minute suggesting if we did loan him out that he would come back as a superstar. I think he could improve though, which might work out well for us either way. If he's still not good enough, at least if he impresses at all, it might let us claw back some of the money we spent on him.

I honestly think he's more of a full back than a centre back. He has pace, but not strength.

He’s definitely not a full back, played there a good few times last season and was poor.

Not hard to play better than Lustig right enough, 2 forward passes then that’s already better than the auld fla.

I can’t see him make it here. Probably the one signing I couldn’t wait to see as I hadn’t saw him at all. Read the reviews and it sounded promising. Is he still adapting to making the step up? Don’t know. One I hope I’m wrong about because I do like to see young Scots or Irish lads making it at Celtic. Probably because it’s a dream for a lot of these boys. Brown and Griff were totally not hoops fans at all. Although Hibs will always be in their blood, they are Celtic through and through.

He is not a full back. He is not even a centre back.

It is pointless to try and hypothetically squeeze him in somewhere. He isn’t good enough.

He’s a squad player, no more no less and certainly wasn’t brought in to be our main centre back. Unfortunately for young players here it’s sink or swim, if he keeps putting in performances like last night when called upon then that would be great.

I’m not even comfortable with him as a squad player. So far, he’s shown nothing to suggest he can be a regular player for us.

I think every game he's played has been a result of our injury situation. I don't think he'll make it here, but not through lack of trying. He's been chucked in at the deep end which won't help his confidence when it's already rattled. I think he's trying his best but he's simply not good enough. Not his fault. Some might argue he shouldn't have signed for us if he was daunted by the task but who would turn down such a massive move, especially to be coached by a man renowned for developing players?

Every time he's started a game Celtic haven't won that tells you all.

Off memory, he started the 3-1 UCL game vs Rosenborg.

    But aye, no good enough.

Not entirely true, but I take your point.

I'm not saying he'll be a good player for us, or even a useful one, but these are hardly the ideal conditions for a young player to grow. The team has struggled for form, his performances have been poor, his winning record as a Celtic player is abysmal and the fans are on his back all the time now - he's become a lightning rod for the criticism.

You can see he's a young guy playing with no confidence.

    This.

I hate when people do this. He's just not good enough it's obvious.

Same as Lustig. Just because he can stick his heid on a baw, folk want to play him at centre half. If a players done or not good enough, you don't shoehorn them in to another position, you simply don't play them.

Can we do something else apart from spamming “he’s no good enough” after every game? He was good enough of Thursday, let’s focus on that
