The more Celtic fans write negative comments about Hendry, the more stories you generate for the quick news.
He's a young guy who's switched off a couple of times.
It's been absolutely blown out of proportion, and Celtic fans will just keep heaping pressure on ourselves by generating these fake stories every week. Even if we went out and won well, the "quick news" (hacker news) would still publish a story like, "One player Celtic fans aren't happy with."
This occasion when fans start saying things like, "get him out this club". It's out of order.
He's a young guy who'll improve.
His weakness seems to be in the air, but otherwise he's not nearly as bad as everyone is making out.
This is a time where we need to maybe calm the * down and try and get an angle on how to counteract all the negative PR, some of which is frustration because we've dropped points in a game when the ref turned a blind eye to all the elbowing that was going on. Also the goal Killie got, everyone thought they'd play it short to run out the clock and the corner kick delivery was inch perfect. At the end of the day we had 10 outfield players that didn't do their job by blocking the guy's run and Hendry was expecting to be on the bench.

 

Hendry is *, end of story.

 

How the * are people still defending this guy? Sure, I have some sympathy for him as he is out of his depth, but he is being well paid for a job he isn't good enough to do. He wouldn't get a game for Dundee, even now. There has been a long list of terrible players at Celtic in my lifetime, many of them defenders, but none of them compare to this guy. Even Du Wei.

 

a) He won't improve, not at Celtic anyway, he would be better off with another club to concentrate on defence.
b) Just because others are to blame for 1 goal doesn't make him blameless for it or the other * ups he made. The cross wasn't perfect, if he kept his man he would have been okay. He makes big mistakes in every match. When you have had 2 of Ajer, Boyata or Benkovic play we have not looked like conceding.
c) He expected to be on the bench, does he know he is *? He should be ready to play at any moment.

 

He does. Everybody who watches football, with the exception of one successful football manager, is fully aware that he is absolutely atrocious at football.

 

He’s not even that young

 

The first goal he was culpable for and terrible as well, gave the Killie lad far too much time and room to shoot, you could see Boyata was telling him where to be as well but he was too slow to react because he’s pish.

 

He is * rotten, spl level dross. Soft, cant head, lack of pace, terrible awareness, no aggression, literally no idea how he can get a game at celtic.

 

This isn't the time to be overrating him!

 

Losing every game he has started isn't blowing it out of proportion its a cold hard fact and he has had his hand in every single loss if we had won against killie it would have been called a grounded out win he is the difference between celtic getting ground out wins and losses

Where is this myth he's a young boy came from he is a few months younger than Jozo how anyone can still defend him is beyond me.

 

People still wanted to give a chance, and I think 23 for a player is still quite young and a few years before they hit their prime. Sadly he hasn't learned since last season and shows no improvement. If he had improved slightly I would say give more time, but yeah he has only shown he is *.

 

If he starts tonight, we riot

....and by riot I mean screw my face up at the TV screen, tut and then say "fur fck sake Brendan"

 

I'm convinced there's someone in the reserves or u-19s who is better than this clown.

I'd genuinely rather try someone like that out than waste any more time on Hendry who is a failed project.

 

Having watched the U-19s in the Next Gen series v PSG last season I'm not sure there is mate. They were awful.

It might've been an off night, I don't watch enough of them to say fully but they didn't fill me with any confidence that any of them could cut the mustard.
