I don't thinks so . Oostende have the option to buy & I would expect them to take the option. There is some discussion that Oostende will possibly sell him at that time for a decent profit.
As Notorious pointed out, Hendry would need to agree to the deal so he has control of his situation. It depends wether he fancies his chances at Celtic.

I'd guess this isn't about playing for Celtic but getting a better deal for himself. Whatever Oostende are prepared to offer him will be a lot less than any of the clubs they would likely sell him straight onto.

Maybe not the best footballer in the world but looks like Jack knows how to manage his career and maximise his income I'd say.

That was a cracking interview by the way.

And a far cry from the attitude I feel he’s had before. In a weird way, a bad injury may have been the making of him.

 

I believe he can refuse the terms that Oostende offer and then the option to buy is invalid.

 

Why shouldnt he get another another chance. Bring the boy home and lets see if he handle playing for Celtic now, who knows he may even be capable of defending a set-piece which will be a unique ability within this current Celtic squad.

 

I would expect & hope that someone from Celtic is in contact with him, telling him that there is a chance to play at Celtic if he wants to take it. The problem is that the press have linked him to EPL clubs & that may have turned his head a little. He may be dreaming of Pound Notes.

 

He is talking himself up in the media. I will believe the transformation when I see it.

 

He is getting lots of positive reviews in the Jupiler Pro League with a 6.90 rating at Whoscored. Lots of interest from Premier League clubs at the 10 million mark so I'm not expecting to see him back at Celtic. He may have proceed with his transformation without your blessing.

I was dead set against signing him in the first place. His highlight reel was a 30 second video of him wiping out is own player and costing his side a goal.

He was no better in the hoops.

Factor in to the fact that he thought he was * Maldini, when he was actually more like a shittier Gary Caldwell and he has a long way to go to convince the collective support.

But I'd give him a shot, sure why not. We couldn't be much * worse at the back anyway.

 

Considering Jullien’s injury, I’d have Hendry back for depth, and wouldn’t loan out Hjelde next year for the same reason.

That should see us only having to buy one, really good quality CB in summer (in an ideal world, I’d have two, but we need so many players in other positions, and this isn’t Football Manager).

Then, in January, with Jullien having returned to fitness, either sell Hendry or loan Hjelde.

 

A horrific defender who needs to be off the books. Same category as Duffy - I'd rather play a youth player than see him in the hoops again.

 

Hendry starting for Scotland tonight. He has earned a second chance at Celtic.

 

Well that makes it interesting ! Lets see how he does.

 

To be honest an oompa loompa would have got a game in our defence this season so this lad is surely worth another look.
Worst case is we would still sell him for the same money if he failed to make it again.
