tbh ive never heard of movement 1389..there is nothing wrong, with celebrating the heroism and bravery to which those soldiers died. if some bunch of idiots want to put a ultra right spin on things and desecrate the sancity of such an event, thats their problem.

greece, montenegro and macedonia have problems with albanians..not just serbia..looking at the video it was one man who burned it.

The whole situation saddens me, first of all I feel for the Genoan children who encompassed a considerable amount of the Italian support due to the concessions offered, they will begin to associate with all the wrong things. I feel for the Serbian people as well who do not condone the actions of a small few. There is the belief that the Serbian hooligans where continuing to ride the wave of anti-homosexualism that was strewn during the weekend when riots broke out following a gay parade. The unfortunate thing is that a portion of the public supported the hooligans in there in their "endeavors".

This sort of behavior is not just limited within Serbia, it's something that plagues the region, for example a Croatian acquaintance of mine recently went from loving St.Pauli for what they represented to hating them after witnessing men kissing each other at one of their games. I ask whether such prejudice the mark of a supposedly fully democratized nation who has submitted an application for EU Membership?

The man in the video was wearing a Combat 18 shirt, combat 18 is a racist neo-* group and he was clearly shown wearing a balaclava while burning an albanian flag and waving around a knife. All the with the majority of the serbian crowd egging him on, I highly doubt that he was doing all that to show his displesure at the Serbian FA.

I imagine he means the 'racist' or anti-Albanian feeling in neighbouring states with large Albanian minorities (Greece, Serbia, Macedonia). You've probably seen it yourself.

I know Greece does all it can to Hellenize minorities at all costs, from what a Greek mate of mine from Flórina told me.

I know it's more complicated than that, but I think that's what he means. It also seems the 'performance' in Genoa had little to do with football and a lot to do with right-wing groups.

not necessarily racial, i mean montenegros "independance" one theory was the sepratist albanians played a part in that.

that being said..theres albanians and sepratist ablanians (pro kla terrorists)..i don't have a problem with albanians..its the sepratist element i have distaste for.

    thats the sad part.

also the sad part is the italian authorities knew and were warned by serbian intelligence the match would be stopped.

the sooner the criminals (the minority) are cleansed from serbian football the better. shoot them do whatever..just get the scumbag away from the nt.

Is that a Serbian theory? I mean from what I've read, almost 86% of the electorate voted yes/no on the referendum. I wonder how many of them were Albanian separatists. And at that time, Serbia had no problem recognizing Montenegro's independence. It also appears that Serbia has a problem with Albanians more so than other countries and not just separatists and terrorist groups. All the countries in the Balkans have recognized Kosovo's (92% Albanian) independence except for Serbia. They only excuse I've seen as to why is because of the ethnic minority of Serbs living there. The same could be said for ethnic Russians living in Georgia yet that shouldn't hold back an autonomous region from getting independence if the majority of the people there vote for it.

What if Hungarians in Vojvodina take majority in years to come? Should we just wave part of our territory just like that?

Or if in Sandžak, south-west part of Serbia, Muslims win majority and gain independence?

The country has been torn apart for years, if this * continues all we'll have left is Belgrade and Šumadija. Sad state of affairs.
