    Where did you read that?

I did see that he signed a new, long-term deal with Chelsea in January and that Cardiff City, Reading, Brighton and Derby wanted him on loan this season.

He'd have been better served going to one of those sides.

Someone told me the other day he is playing for Crete on loan in the Greek league (never even knew they had a team) thought that sounded not right for someone who thinks he is in the Messi, Ronaldo bracket and behaves as such but lo and behold its true according to this

    http://int.soccerway.com/teams/greece/ofi-heraklion-fc/

In 18 months he will be hanging around outside KFC where Union Street meets Argyle Street....Mark my words

If he actually was a good prospect he would be loaned to a half decent team in a good league. Chelsea likely just want him off the wage bill.

He had his loan in Crete cut short and just got very publicly rejected from Cardiff

    http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/cardiff-drop-interest-in-feruz.116040436

CONTROVERSIAL Scotland Under 21 international Islam Feruz is back at Chelsea after Cardiff City abandoned plans to sign him on loan following his week's trial in Wales.

The troubled striker was expected to join the English Championship club after two loan spells in Russia and Greece didn't work out for the former Celtic kid.

Feruz changed his mind after initially rejecting the chance to go to Wales following a change of agents.

However, Cardiff weren't impressed with the 19-year-old and also had a change of heart after monitoring him on trial for the week.

Manager Russell Slade said: "We've made a decision on Islam and he's gone back to Chelsea."

Feruz - who has indicated he isn't interested in representing Scotland again at youth levels - still has four-and-a-half years to run on his Chelsea contract.

He caused irritation and frustration with SFA coaches in previous trips with Scotland's kids and opted to play in a Hong Kong seven-a-side tournament in May instead of representing Scotland at the Under 19 Euro Elite Finals in England last year.

Now other Championship clubs will weigh up a move for the Somalian-born forward.

I wonder if he actually realises that he's * away his career?

If it hasn't occurred to him yet, maybe it never will. He's went from being a 16 year old prospect with Celtic and Chelsea interested in him to being a 19 year old who's been knocked back by Cardiff who would have got him for * all.

He talks about turning his back on Scotland, but the truth is, would he even get a game at the senior level now? He's not a kid anymore and should really be pushing for 1st team appearances and knocking on the Scotland door.

In a sad way he seems to think he's still the hot 16 year old prospect, when in fact no one is really all that interested in him any more.

I never really held it against him when he left us, was just a kid that seen the big money move, completely understandable. But it looks like he has totally cocked his career up - him and Liam Miller should one day be employed to tell kids why it's not always a good idea to take the money before you've got proper first team experience behind you.

I have a feeling he'd have cocked it up even if he'd stayed with us though. If his attitude was right he could have moved to Chelsea, gained experience and maybe gone on loan for a bit before returning to challenge for the first team.

If that hadn't worked out he could have moved elsewhere and made a decent career for himself, and he'd likely be on the fringes of the Scotland squad as well.

As is, he's * it all up by the looks of it.

He'll probably end up at a Barnsley and won't get a game.

I was talking about this in another thread the other day, that's so clearly photoshopped :smiley-laughing002: it's a Chelsea top, the team he's contracted to.
