Every comment I've made bar this recent pathetic slanging match you've dragged me into have been my opinions based on watching celtic the team I support and love .

Your just hitting out with random remarks and insults.

Let's get back onto the subject of celtic and more importantly ronny deila .

    Cheers

Technically no you're being pedantic. They are the last line of outfielders. Not sure what that means I take it you mean to imply that you go to games in person on a more regular basis than me. Yay postcode lottery. Well done. So if you do go to games I assume you do see the shape we play. You seem misinformed though so I assume you go for pints before the games. Dont worry fella Ronny would drive us all to drink. No harm in it. Just ask me the craic and ill keep ye right.

He was lucky to get a shot at managing us , it suited lawwell .there has been no improvement since he has taken over when you think state of the team lennon left it only need a couple of tweaks, instead of the * up infallible 4-2-3-1. we have looked brilliant on maybe 3 or 4 occasions playing the way he does but when it's bad it's brutal which is becoming the norm.it's not working. diela seems to think it's the only way football can be played ,he's too stubborn/stupid to realize it's gonna get him the sack sooner or later

That there ^^^^^^^^^^^was your earlier comment to someone else's opinion, before I quoted you. Or did you choose to forget that comment?

So you've taken out last season's POTY (albeit in * form) for Stokes? And if like you say his form recovered, then you'd take Armstrong out?

No width whatsoever either. You told me not to be a "football hipster" earlier but yet, the teams who are playing 4-4-2 these days are the hipsters.

4-4-2 and the teams who use it have been left behind.

4-2-3-1, 4-3-3 and (if you have the CBs for it) 3-5-2 are the formations that top modern teams use.

I could understand advocating for 4-3-3.

And another point, virtually any manager that could possibly do a better job than Ronny will be playing 4-2-3-1 also.

Fair enough they words were the first ones that came to my mind to express how strongly I disagreed and next time I will be less brutal in the expression of my feelings but on the other side of things I was one of about 5 ppl who immediately shot the comments down in flames .

That formation is fluid. Width provided by fullbacks and Stokes drifting left. The diamond is a good formation to counter 4231. You will have stability in the middle and will not be disadvantaged in the middle of the park. You also have a true holding player, a man in the hole and interplay between strikers. Works in Scotland, it can work in Europe and it can be tweaked easily.

    What is our net spending?

Ajax have a great history of bringing young players through. All Scandinavain teams will give us trouble as they are strong and very athletic.
Dont forget, Malmo are putting up a very creditable show in the CL....they were no mugs.

The spending thing is weird, because we actually have to spend more than these other teams to achieve a similar level of success, as we are in the CL every year...wheras many of these so called weaker teams may only get a shot at the big Euro games every couple of years as they play in reasonably competitive leagues......unlike us, so subsequently they are allowed to develop into a compact but cheap unit and attain relative success....then they will fade away again for a couple of years while some other team from that country takes centre stage.....we dont have that luxury, as we are in it every year and then complain when we dont do well....when we have a league full of teams that cant even get past the prelims in Europe, year after year after year.....and that is the top Scottish teams im talking about!

It is too hard to play * every week and then compete against top Euro clubs. It can be done, but it isnt easy.....without either spending, or being patient, and we dont seem to do either of those well.
