IS KEANE IN THE SAME BRACKET AS LARSSON AND JINKY

Henrik Larsson was world class,Keane is a very good player but he doesn't come close to Larsson.

 

A legend... in 3-4 months... no chance.

As I can't split my vote, and although I saw far more of Henrik than I did Jinky, you cant argue with the ability of either man - nor their contributions to Celtic. Going to have to pass on this one.

 

keane is what us celtic fans have been needing (A HERO).nothing else.he will never be a henrik larsson or a jimmy johnstone.lets enjoy his short time here and not make comparisons that are just silly and for the record i think rasmussen could be an amazing player for us,maybe not a legend but a * of a goal scorer.

 

Whoever voted for Keane in the pole must have their beer goggles on.

He cannot become a Celtic legend after playing 2 games, getting hailed the messiah and can turn water into wine after 2 games. Suposidly he scores 5 goals in the first half and walks mowburys dog at half time then scores 3 more 2nd half...

Seriously see by this, hes a good player, here for short term gain not just for us but for himself to get back in form and into that Spurs side. Don't be fooled, man said he was a liverpool fan and they were his boyhood hero's he only wanted to play for celtic because his dad was a true diehard celtic fan so we were prob his scottish team. Lets just enjoy it while it lasts and dont make ourselfs out fools hailing him the * almighty then he goes at the end of the season and we start calling him a money grabber.

 

robbie keane was and always will be a better player than larsson. henrik may have been a celtic legend but robbie is a better striker/player. keane is proven premier league quality. just my opinion.

 

I think that there are very few players that will ever be in the same talent bracket as either Jinky or Henke

Keane is very talented but they had something more, they were just special...

 

jinky, larsson,kenny,mcgrain,mcstay,ceaser are all celtic legends keane is a good but overrated player he is no messiah the way some people go on about him is laughable,im not doubting his quality but to compare him with jinky get a grip.

 

Larsson was better than Keane, how can you say that.. what team has Keane won the champions league with? Keane played for Inter and Liverpool and flopped at both and got sold for less than he was bought for at both clubs. Larsson went on to play for Barca and Man Utd. If Keane was that good he wouldnt be on loan to us he would be lighting up the premiership or La Liga.

How you can possibly arrive at the conclusion you did beats the * out of me.
On a seperate note the poll itself is flawed as it cannot possibly gauge an honest assessment, when most on here have never had the pleasure of seeing jinky in action.

Keane has played 1.5 games for Celtic and we're comparing him with the King of Kings and Jinky? Get real.

 

No offense mate but i see you as one of the people that jump on the bandwagons, i bet you were one of the ones calling for mowburys head before keane came and probably still will week in and out but praise keane even for something stupid * WHAT A 5 YARD PASS OMFGG KEANEEE!

Im not saying he isn't a good player i am saying he is no where near the class of Larsson and Jinky even tho all i have seen of Jinky is video footage. But never compare him to the great Henrik.

no where near the class of larrsson? eh have you watched robbies career? have you seen him bang in the goals for tottenham and his other clubs through the years? have you seen his 41 international goals he scored for ireland?? if you think henrik was a better player then fine. i think henrik was a great player, i just think robbie is better. i dont need to go on about it and wont.

Yeh i have watched Robbie Keane's career. He is a good player but to me hes not got anything on Larsson, if you had to ask me everyday of the week for a year who i would rather have in my starting line up it would be Henrik Larsson. If your going by stats and how he banged them in for Spurs.. how many goals did robbie bang in for Spurs before he came to us? How many games did he get? for SPURS? SPURS for goodness sake, why wasn't he playing for the Man Utd's and the Barcelona's?

Sick of this debate, iv said my bit Larsson over Keane 7 days a week every week, Keane has only played 1.5 games for celtic and your already calling him a hero. Keane is a good player but he needs to earn it he cant just walk into Parkhead and be a hero he needs to prove it. Think you were in a coma when Larsson spent his time here.

Robbie keanes a proven goalscorer for club and country, top top class, exactly what we need.

However you look at larssons career, scored over 200 goals for the hoops... barcelona loved him, man utd fans adored him.

You need to watch a few larsson videos m8.

from what, i have seen from his work rate he would be on a par with both, and judging him on his over all performaces with other teams yes, i would say he has something to add to football. time will tell in a celtic shirt as did graig bellamy, de canio. who all had a place at park head
