Is It Right We Are Trying To Sign Players

all those plonkers are better than the players we already have. You have to be at least a decent football player for Man Utd to show an interest

 

yeah if you google him ,there are links to stories about the players having a chance to impress him for the future, and also how he has tipped Given to be back in 3 months.

The recent press does suggest he is a 100% focused on the job in hand. That said though my manager at work is leaving but told me where he wants to see me in the company in 6 months. They just need to talk the talk dont they.

 

thing is trapattoni wouldnt pick him for ireland because he wasnt playing enough games over the last two years because of injury.
if a manager is not in place i would be very concerned about a player being signed.
i have no doubt that some players over the past few seasons have not been signed by the manager.
this is one reason that puts me of lennon.i think he could end up with players just pushed onto him.if this happens i think he will just try to get on with it as he loves the job rather than stand up and say i call the shots.a yes man if you like.
i really want a manager who takes control of the whole playing side from top to bottom,gets the players and staff he wants and tells the board to * out when its needed and is given reasonable funds to work with when needed.

 

Neil Lennon a yes man? Can't see it..if anything I could see him clashing with Reid and Lawwell..he seems to get on alright with Desmond.

 

lawwell is the most involved with signins i think so its likely we could sign a player without a gaffer in place

mmmm maybe mark hughes is the man that has the job , with reid his former player and bellamy being spotted at celtic park , seems very strange dont ya think !

 

If Rasmussen and Fortune are our first choice strikers next season then I have to say I'd be very disappointed. Not good enough, especially with the poor season already and the obvious lack of goals last season, we definately have to bring in better strikers. Rasmussen is average imo, and Fortune is good at everything he does except scoring!!

Back on the subject with Reid. I think a international player with good experience in the EPL and all that for FREE...I'd take that any day. Also I remember seeing him play for Balckburn a couple years ago...he is a decent player. Better than some of the players we have anyways!!

 

when was bellamy spotted here and who by? any confirmation? i think lenny has ,and in the boards eyes, been the only candidate all the way through. with season ticket renewals due, i think if they announced it too early then a lot of fans might say, "oh * that. no ambition . im not going to renew this year." with mention of hughes and trappatoni etc , people will get excited and renew in fear that they may miss out on something.

Surely this must mean Lenny is getting the job, what happens if we sign 1 or 2 players, then the new manager does not want the players?

i agree something doesnt add up,its as if like there waiting for something to happing before they announce it,like its a done deal and there getting on with but there waiting for the wright time to announce it

 

I think it aint Lennon and there is some one else and he is calling the shot's and just not being made offical yet for some reason.

 

Imo, I think Celtic are waiting to see what Rangers do, if wattie goes they will appoint Lenny, if he stays they will bring someone else in.

 

Aye maybe Peter and DD are trying fm out in real life lets play manager.

 

Least if there doing that the first things they'll do is get two good centre halfs, a defensive midfielder and a new striker. Like everybody does in fm for Celtic at the start
