ok, i know its still popular but,

over the past year i cant help but notice it dosent seem to be half as popular as it was 2/3 years ago, indie bands where toping the charts but now, with the exception of all the big bands , ie kol oasis, Coldplay ect, its all pop or r'n'b,.

do U think the indie revolution is over or R we just wait for the bands next albums?

Hmm it isnt popular as it once was.. remember bands like Razorlight, The Fray, Kooks, Jack Penate, Artic Monkeys.. were all releasing good songs.. dont hear much of them anymore really apart from Razorlight, Kooks and Arctic Monkeys...Kings of Leon have made a big impact this year though.

I think it's just progressing, a lot of indie bands turned into pop bands and a lot of great Indie bands are coming through now like AC Newman, The boy least likely to, Wintersleep, I'm from Barcelona, etc. It's very rare that a music genre dies, it just fluctuates generation to generation.

Indies not so much dead, just younger folk who are more into buying music have bad taste. Thats why the charts are full of *. Yeez are aw weaned on * pop idol and x-factor. Get a life and don't be brainwashed. I was surprised to see the likes of the Stone Roses in the 'music you've just discovered' thread.

    Indie isn't dead.
It's just not as popular as it was.
But indie is better when it's not mainstream.

its still good, its just not as big as it used to be.

Its just like rock back in the 2000's bands like limp bizkit and korn were around and people loved them now rock isnt so big.

the kings of leon are hardly indie, they're signed to a multinational company. indie music got its name from independant music labels

Ever since High School Musical, music has died full stop.
