If you can't see what Neil Lennon brought to Celtic's team then quite frankly you know diddly squat about football.

And I can categorically tell you that I never once booed Neil Lennon for anything he did and I never will. I'm sure most other Celtic fans are the same.

Even when he gave Samaras that 3 year contract I didn't boo him..........that's how much I love the guy!! :56:

Any more of this sort of stuff and you'll be looking at a warning/infraction. Trolling is against the forum rules and the forum staff will decide which threads should be 'shut off'.

I'm beginning to wonder if when people are comparing Sutty to the likes of Henrik, Jinky, McStay, etc, they are basing it on ability; or what they actually achieved/brought to the club. I suspect the former.

He's no Jinky or someone like that, but he probably is a legend.

Would have to be King of Kings, Henrik Larsson.

    I'm not picky.
For me Sutton is a legend at Celtic. He hit the ground running and never looked back. O'Neill bought him for £6million and a lot of people had his doubts about him - and I mean a lot of people as in people outside Celtic, especially the huns. I remember my brother-in-law saying he would never get anywhere and is no good. He was eating his words come the start of the season, especially when he banged in 2 against them in the Demolition Derby.

His partnership with Larsson was excellent and they hit it off pretty much straight away. It's one of those partnerships that just clicked in to place.

For me Chris Sutton = legend!

Does anybody else think Chris Sutton for £6m was an absolute steal when you look at the prices been bandied about down there nowadays?

Definitely, Sutton could've played with any team at that time we got him.

I thought at the time £6million for a guy who had only scored 1 goal all season for Chelsea was a bit of a gamble by Martin O'Neill. It was definitely a gamble that paid off though. We got our money's worth out of Chris Sutton and a lot more. Sutton was a great player for Celtic.

A great player no doubt and one of the finest strikers we have had at Celtic but i wouldn't say he is a legend i think that is saved for the likes of Johstone and Larsson more recentley.. just my opinion of course.

Tommy Burns for example was a great wee player but wouldn't get in our top 11 of all time and we have had alot of better players than the wee man but in terms of Legendary status YES and i don't need to explain why because Tommy put it into his many words about our club that could not be improved, like i say not an absolute superstar player but he sure as * towers above the rest and for any player coming to join Celtic they only have to look at Tommy and get told "that's what we expect" i know i got off topic but the title has legend in it big Sutton yes a Celtic great.. Mr.Celtic.. the name says it all :shamrock:

Absolutely a legend Henrik and Sutton best partnership in Britain for a couple of seasons.

100% every game and could play anywhere in the spine of the team. The huns really feared him and players hated playing against him.

One of the best strikers we've had at the club.:shamrock:

I loved the way he peeled of his marker at corners and did that head flick across goal, a very intelligent player :50:
