Of course the big man is a legend. Would have run through a brick wall for the team. Loved him!

Sutton would be a celtic hero imo along with hartson, petrov, thompson etc

I would call the likes of larsson, jinky, etc legends.

Taking everything into account I would agree with you.

However, in terms of their Celtic playing career I still won't be swayed. Larsson stands head and shoulders above every player I have ever seen in a Celtic strip.

Truelly world class, one of the top 5 if not top 3 strikers of his generation and he gave Celtic his best years despite being courted by the best sides in world football. An absolute gentlemen to boot, just to put the cherry on the cake.

Can't ask for more than that from a legend.

Aye, still remember, Lenny's wee legs moving about like fck under him trying to get to the ball, but his body was static. Looked like, one of them cartoon characters !!!!
Oh & I bet, you didn't curse him once for consistently passing the ball backwards for a whole season !!!!!!!!

    Hail Hail:shamrock:

That "Hail Hail :shamrock:" at the end of an arrogant post about our current manager who loves the club.....annoys me.

Aye bang out of order! But back to Sutton. He was a great player. The type of player we need now. He should be regarded as a club legend.

Yes definite legend imo, one of the good guys when it comes to the fan and a real hunskelper. Think he toped a poll for the most hated celtic player [by the orcs] so he must have been doin something right.
Also loved his celebration, showed some passion an genuine love for the club.

I would say Chris Sutton is in that second tier of players just below the legends.

Call them heroes, icons or whatever - I think Sutton is one of those. I'd put Sutton up there alongside the likes of Frank McAvennie, Paul Lambert, Davie Hay, Pat Bonner etc
