Remember him chipping Klos like it was yesterday, * brilliant. He's a legend in my eyes. I miss when we had him Larsson and Hartson. Those were the days man .

Everyone saying he's not in the same class as Jinky and McNeill should realize that we're never going to have any players of that standard again. If we think like that then we'll never have any more legends. Sutton is one of the Celtic greats in my eyes.

i put this post in the wrong thread 'cause i'm a tube.

in my head he's a legend, in the grand scheme of things he's not a celtic legend though.

maybe hero would be a more appropriate word ?

Loved the big man, what a player. Crying out for someone like him now. A legend in my eyes for definite.

Top player. He's certainly a legend.

If I was introducing any new person to Celtic FC, he's among the names I'd be mentioning. He stood out during his time here. Helped the team to huge victories, including league and cup triumphs. What more could you ask for?

He's always shown respect for the club, as well. Even after finishing his playing days.

He's the target man we've been missing for a few years.

not to be a * or anything man but a legend in footballing terms is very different to a legend in literal terms. in his day jim McColl would have been someone that would have been held in high esteem and held as an example to new potential players (i would imagine)

i love big sutton, as i said before. he's a legend in my head because he was brilliant when he was a player and i was in the stand. in 40 years though, the names remembered from that team will be Larsson & O'Neill IMO

i would say he defo is , dont see what else he could have done to be one. made larsson a better player and was a loyal member of a team that won cups and got to a european final, he always gave 100 percente and never complained when asked to play in midfield or defence .
