To say danny is crap is just a big joke. give the man some time, and kick loovens the * out. danny are brilliant in the national team, and there its alot better opponent then rangers, im talking about brilliant games against, italy, england, holland, spain etc. by FAR the best cb in the team. to get Mellberg to celtic would be amazing, as hes the best partner for maj.. they work perfect together.

Cant believe what im reading in some peoples comments! This guy has 1 bad game all be it against our rivals. He is not a poor center back i personaly think he is just what we need, but not with Loovens, he cant do it all him self and cause he is trying so hard to cover 2 positions its almost impossible to do his own job well. He basically covered the both sides on wed night. His desire to win the ball are second to none. I feel once Loovens has been replaced and both center backs bond i think we will see the best from our defence.

Try Strachan's 'it would take 15 million to replace hoof 'n' heid.'

This was a barb aimed at Pistol Pete for attemting to force Loovens on him.

That comment could just as easily construed as WGS trying to instil a bit confidence in his CB pairing.

Let's say for a moment that Loovens was a 'pistol pete' signing. Assuming that PL only works in the interest of financial gain - what is to be gained by signing Loovens?

We can only judge Maj properly when he is playing alongside a decent partner. At present he is having to do two jobs. He is probably just as frustrated and * off as we are.

The huns were after him, so Pete thought he'd put a spoke in it.

Landed us with a grade A fud, that Strachan did not want.

As an aside, we have spent about half of that 15 million Wee ginge spoke of already, and not a bawhair better off.

If the big man is paired with Rogne then hopefully we should have a bit more stability in the centre of defence, assuming rogne can remain injury free.
