This is of course what a lot of you say, & I agree about focusing on the football team.

But lets say we lose on Sunday, I want to believe that we lost because Rangers were better that us. I don't want that horrible suspicion that the ref/linesmen kept giving them dodgy decisions & that was why we lost.

I appreciate that you are personally defining what you mean - and what you mean is an "institutional bias" rather than a "conspiracy". But I would suggest if you read through this thread there are plenty of people who are not talking about a "bias" but a downright conspiracy.

I have no issue really with the idea of an institutional bias. I dont agree with it but at the same time I appreciate the arguments and of course it is possible. But what I object to is the "conspiracy" ideas. And I am not using that term to belittle your argument. I use it because that is what the thread is about , and that is what a lot of people still seem to believe in (even if you dont).

This age old argument raised its head after a few dodgy decisions in games against Killie, Rangers, then Hearts. To me, claiming the refs were aiming to screw celtic in these games (as many were) is talk of "conspiracy" not merely "bias".

It really depends on what people are arguing. But I dont see how I was being condecending or dismissive. I just happen to disagree.
