    I didnt use it there. I was quoting the post above. Besides I first heard the term in the 2nd half of the 1980s being used by Irish people talking about Americans. Plus I have heard English of Irish decent calling themselves plastic paddys several times. Its not a world I would use in real life because I am not into calling people names for any reason and I will respect my fellow posters by not using it again here but I as I said I definately know first hand that its not a hun-only term.

    Just to give some clarification. The "NIR" flag you refer to is an unofficial flag. It is not recognised by the Flag Regulation body and is not flown from official government buildings in the north.

    It is known as the "Ulster Banner" and was used by the government of Northern Ireland way back in the sixties and seventies when this governments job was to keep the "fenians" down.

    In my opinion this banner is used by biggots to send their biggoted message. I'm not getting into the definition "biggot", I'm just giving my opinion.

    We were founded by the Irish, course there's going to be Irish flags. Alot of it us to do with how big the rivilry is am sure there would be a few more scotland flags at Celtic matches if it wasent BLUE! IMO
