Aye that looks like it could be a powerful bit of film making.

Nothing on the forums yet to download, might take a few weeks to filter through.

It's got a rating of 4.5 out of 5 on Flixter but only ten people have rated it so far. Looking good though.

Official release date in the UK has been revealed as the 31st of October... I phoned Cineworld and Glasgow Film Theatre to ask if they were showing it.. Cineworld said they'll get back to me and GFT said they probably will as there's been lots of interest..

Really looking forward to seeing this film. Sounds like it's going to give a frighteningly accurate account of the beatings & torture the Republican POW's were subjected to at the hands of the British state inside the walls of Long Kesh. The book "TEN MEN DEAD" also gives an excellent account of the events leading up to, & during the period of the 1st & 2nd Hunger Strikes.

    Hunger

The film stars Michael Fassbender as Bobby Sands, the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) member who led the 1981 Irish hunger strike and participated in the no wash protest (led by Brendan "The Dark" Hughes) in which Republican prisoners tried to win political status. It dramatises events in the Maze prison in the six weeks prior to Sands death.

Anyone seen this film yet? Only just came out today [31/10/08] I went to see it before just got back from it. Its a good film but sick. Very sick. Shows you what the Brits are made of.
