Look at the big teams down South just now, it's not for the working class or even middle class with some of the ticket prices. It's so enveloped in money and greed that teams no longer give a * about their fans and just rip them off even with a minimum of 100M from the tv deal alone.

We are a Scottish club with strong Irish roots, Scotland is where we belong. The fact so many people are willing to join a * English league because of money is ridiculous.
Football is nothing without fans, the heart and soul of this club will effectively be sold to a plastic corporate league only interested in money.

So is that any different to Scottish and irish folk who move down to England for work or for better money? There is a huge Scottish and Irish link down in England as it is btw, so by that notion they should have stayed where they were brought up even if conditions were * and they should not have bettered themselves. Does every Scottish person or every Irish person suddenly move down to England and start shouting about loving the queen, royalty, or anything that is seen as remotely English? Probably some, but the vast majority.....naw. They remain truthful to their roots, as would we because - as I mentioned - we would STILL REMAIN IN SCOTLAND - although we would play in a competition that required us to play our away football in England.

I take your initial point, but can you honestly tell me that any of them folk who feel outpriced or whatever would be happy for their team to move to Scottish fitba if it meant they were at a level where it meant their club was closer in terms of the "common man"? Would the * :56::56:

Correct - football without the fans in nothing. Our fans would remain with the club, and would embrace it - as would other fans from across the world, who have as much right to support our club as the homegrown Scots and Irish do.

Not for the working or middle class? What is it for then, the upper class? Last I looked not many toffs attended your average epl game.
Sure they pay a fortune for their tickets, but its still hard earned money from honest fans. Their fans are *, shallow and haven't got an imaginative mind amongst them in regards to supporting their club, but still.

No one is saying our clubs prices will increase either, in fact some have even suggested we could give the tickets away for free and still be 5x better off.

Who to say that our Irish billionaire doesn't stick to our traditions and culture and keeps prices the same regardless? Or even reduce?

Imagine being the cheapest season ticket in the epl, yet having the biggest turnover and being one of the top dogs?

why should the size of your country audience be what makes you become a "better "or "bigger"club due to the riches of the sky deal ,ok there will be teams with bigger area fan bases but surely for fairness it should be about the best manager who can grow a team into a great team with eaqual amounts of money as the others ,and only by winning competitions does your fan base become greater as does your wealth through better sponsorship.
is this not how its meant to be ,the best manager building the best team ,not teams having an unfair advantage over you because of where they came from .

sky is the equivelent of an athlete using drugs to win ,its unfair and should not work that way ,sky should be shairing the money equaly throughout football .

If Celtic end up playing in the epl it will be for mainly business reason's. I think we can all agree on that (?) So talk of potential reductions in ST's/ match day tickets would fly in the face of business sense. So for that reason alone using that as a potential 'benefit' is wide of the mark.

The people shouting for us to splash the cash are probably the same people who boo'd the bunnet when he unfurled the league flag after stopping the 10.

Do you not see how money corrupts? Look at the likes of Liverpool, they used to have a proper club identity like us and now they are just a massive brand. The kop was well known for its atmosphere but now it's very average and they are playing these teams that are supposedly so great to play. This isn't an accident. Look at Arsenal and West Ham in their fancy new stadiums that are dead. Look at the pricing of tickets.

It would change us dramatically in the long run and if you can't see that then I'm afraid you are being a little short sighted.

I love Celtic the way they are and I wouldn't want to risk everything for greed.

The people who booed the bunnet did so because he tried to change tradition at Celtic especially with the support - now, he is quite rightfully regarded as a hero for sending us on our way to financial security.

You talk about Liverpool, Arsenal and West Ham's level of support at their home stadiums - let's not be shy and say it like it is, Celtic Park is a * morgue at times also! i had the pleasure of being beside the Liverpool support at Man City last november, and the atmosphere was * phenomenal - a very close second to that which I have experienced with the Celtic support. They were far from being lifeless "sellouts".

I love Celtic, with all my heart. That does not detract from the issue that we are getting further and further away in terms of quality from the rest of Europe. That's down to cash. It is in no way "greed" to want your team to be up there with the best, considering that's where we should be as we are one of the greatest clubs on Earth. We can't compete year in/year out without greater financial backing.

I used to think it would be a great move for us to move down south but the more money that gets pumped into that place the more it sickens me.

Slightly above average players going for 40/50/60 million quid, raking in 200 odd grand a week. Might be a cliche but money really has ruined the game there. Vastly over-rated, over-paid and underwhelming football on offer.

Most of the epl games just seem so lifeless, no atmosphere and rather boring to watch....i dont want my club to end up that way.

The bubble has got to burst at some point.

It will, all bubbles burst in the end. The problem is that we don't know if it will be in 2 years or 20. Either way, I don't want Celtic anywhere near it.

Used to enjoy watching premier league.

But stopped watching it about two years ago money that gets spent is a disgrace, completely ignore that league and its teams couldn't tell you its top young players pay no attention to the ins and outs unless it concerns us, don't even listen to talksport anymore.

Anything related to that league or anything that promotes it gets no attention from me unless its unavoidable and or it involves Celtic.

Horrible soulless plastic crap, can't wait for it to go * up, glamorous my *.

I used to be proud and say never but after all the * that happened over the last few years I have changed my mind.

When the authorities punish a club - who cheated their way to titles - by giving them less winnings for a single season years later! In other words, feel free to cheat against Celtic in the future, especially when they try for 10inar.

    Time to move on.
