    G'day

    Red from Melbourne, Australia here.

have followed big Ange since he managed South Melbourne in the 90s, and had an interest in Celtic since Melbourne Knights big man Mark Viduka arrived (via Zagreb). I kept watching Celtic in big games, and whenever another Aussie played.

But since Ange arrived I am all in. have watched every minute of the season so far.

I really believe he is the perfect fit for Celtic, and something special is just around the corner.

I remember vividly being hung over from a big night and turning on the tv to see the famous argument Ange vs Craig Foster on SBS. just one of many Ange moments. eg winning the Asian Cup for Australia, and having us a goal up against Netherlands at the World Cup.

I've only been to 1 Celtic game, when they came to Melbourne in 2011. I made up some half/half scarfs, and ended up getting one signed by Neil Lennon. Hopefully next time Ange comes back to Melbourne, I can get him to sign it as well.

Celtic fan, Everton fan, Melbourne Victory fan, Byron Bay FC fan, Australia national team fan.

Following entertaining football from round the world. Celtic is currently the only team I'm a fan of playing that brand of football. Long may it continue.

    Hi,
I'm from South Shields in the North East of England. Became a Celtic fan in 1987 when my uncle from Glasgow came to England to work for my dad.
Centenary season was amazing and I have kept the faith through the dark times (89-97) and the times of prosperity.
Loving Big Ange's style of play, his pressers and think he can really build something amazing at Celtic before some decent PL side comes in for him.
    Also a Sunderland fan.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the chance to join your forum.

I’d call myself a renewed supporter - I was a boyhood fanatic, but fell away around 2011.

That was a combination of living abroad and moving into my 20s and I remember a derby (which I think ended 1-1) where Joe Ledley scored but I realised that I wasn’t that bothered any more.

Since coming home I’ve mostly followed the national team and have enjoyed getting out to local grounds in what’s now the Lowland and West of Scotland Leagues.

But my wee boy is now fitba-daft and, with thanks to his wider family, has his heart set on Celtic.

I’ve had him at CP a few times this season and have felt my own connection with the club rekindling and have us both on the season ticket waiting list.

So sorry for the self-indulgent introduction, but am happy to be here and speaking with you all - interested to see if my circuitous route back to Celtic brings a different perspective.

    Thanks,

    P

Think it's inevitable that distance does give different perspective, even from personal experience this is undoubtedly true.

    Hello,

James here, now 64 and living near Melrose.

Maryhill born and bred, dad, now paased on, would take myself to European games and I have fond memories of a big night against the European giants, which were Dukla Prague.

So, yes, I have seen the Dukla Prague away strip...!

My reason for joining, instead of enjoying, is that rarely something comes up which is so special, it merits highlighting.

Apologies if this is already well known - I can't see any previous reference to it.

    Welcome.

The supporters club is about a 10 minute walk from the ground ( you might have seen some of the Green Brigade marches from their to the ground

    https://www.thecelticwiki.com/celtic-social-club/

The Turnstiles and Real McCoy are just outside the ground

    https://www.celticbars.com/celtic-bar/turnstiles-bar/

    https://foursquare.com/v/the-real-mccoy/53ac72a4498e9f7cea634c03

A bit further out if you head for the Barras there are plenty of Celtic bars

https://thecelticstar.com/the-gallo...ave been numerous Celtic,67 and the Hoops Bar.
