Does anyone here stay in Partick and know which way the Deoch An Dorus pub swings? I thought it was just going to be a classic chuckter pub, so no preference but maybe sway slightly towards us, but I was there for the Hamilton away game, the one where Matthews scored that absolute screamoid, and they had the game on, but no one remotely celebrated when we scored. Not even a slight cheer. No one was really watching it. I'll be there on Thurs night because their TV game in on point (so many screens), but I want to be able to cheer even a little when we grab a last minute winner.

Agreed. Since the run to Seville in 2003-04, these are our away results in the Europa League/UEFA Cup. Pish.

EDIT: and even that Sion win is misleading, we lost that 3-1 ffs

    Played 14, Won 0, Drawn 7, Lost 7
    Scored 13, Conceded 26

I'd argue none of them apart from this season mean * all. How can Teplice in 2004 mean anything towards this sides ability to win away from home tomorrow ?

GMS is at the pre-match press conference today. I think that means he's probably playing from start

I think this the the correct decision. Speed and trickery will be usefull early doors. If it is tight later on and they on the defensive then Commons long shots could be vital

Good. Commons, Armstrong and Johansen are talented but won't run at players and commit them the way GMS does. Their defence is pish and we need someone like GMS to drive at them with the ball.

All the talk of our away form record goes for nothing tomorrow. Looking at that if you were a betting man you would certainly bet against is winning but it doesnt mean we will. Records are there to be changed. We play a more european style of football which I do beleive will bring more results away from home in europe. Whether that is tomorrow or next season it will work for us.

We have always gone down the route of defend for our lives and hope to catch a break or a set piece goal. Now we will go toe to toe with teams and in many games play like we are the home team. We could end up getting hammered with our style tomorrow but as long as we give it our best go I will feel as proud as I did last Thursday.

Starting Forrest could not be justified by neither what he brings, his form or tactics.

Mancini says Carrizo will be in goals again over Handanovic, small victory.

Can't see a lot of change in the line up from the first leg with maybe Guidetti coming in for Griffiths.

Drop Armstrong? ^ Not for me. Id say it's fairly certain we'll play with the same side that played last Thursday but with Guidetti up front. Commons could be a surprise inclusion ahead of GMS.

The same way that our home form always has given us the chance to beat any of the best teams in the world. Our away form is its converse.

There are actually some decent results sprinkled in there. But overall, it is still a totally shocking record. No wins in the Europa League away from home and no wins in the Champions League away from home except Spartak does not provide a good omen for us.

I find it difficult to brush aside. It's quite horrendous for a club who want/need to be in the latter stages of european competition.
