It's the same for league games in Italy, and its all down to the anti-hooliganism laws brought in in 2005. Basically every ticket, home or away, has to bear the name of the person that bought it. You can transfer your ticket to someone else by advising the club on-line up to 4 hours before the game. They also go to great lengths not to mix the opposing teams fans. To buy a ticket in the away team section you need a "tessera del tifoso" which is basically a card issued by the club certifying you are a fan. It gives you the right to buy tickets only for the away game of your team, not any other.

    Many thanks for that :50:

I have become familiar with the terms you mention due to looking at websites of other clubs as I'm going to a few other games in. Italy at the weekend, by the sound of things I need to take my passport to every game I go to so thanks for the heads up on this.

I still stand by my original point however and feel this is still a joke of a situation within an EU nation, as Italy is a Shengen nation you don't need a passport to move over the border into Switzerland, France or Slovenia but you need one to watch Genoa play at Udinese eg.....absurd when you think about it

Flying out Thursday morning from Brussels Charleroi, then return home Friday evening. Hope I don't miss my flight, as getting up at 3 am can be tricky.

Hello guys, I'm an Inter fan based in Milan who's been to Paradise last week.
I decided to sign up to thank you for the welcome given to us and for the amazing night we've spent together. That atmosphere were just unbelievable, with both sides chanting and supporting the team harder as possible, even if we were just like 2000, like Leonidas at the Thermophylae.
In a world where money are all that matters, we showed up that History and Tradition are priceless, it is something they will never have, and something we have to be proud of. The Green Brigade display reminded me of my father, or my grandfather, who have felt the same feelings, the same emotions, decades ago. It is the happiness to be part of something bigger than you, and it something that a Chinese Man City supporter will never know.

Thank you, for being what you are.

And to thank you again, for those of you coming to Milan I'll be here to help you. If you have any question about anything, from where to drink to where to go, just ask, I'll be happy to reply.

    Cheers, Forza Inter. Forza Celtic.
    ps sorry for my english

pps. the display was good, but not this good..maybe our standards are different..look at this

Any idea if tickets can be bought on the day? I've got my flight booked but I've been trying for the last week or so and can't buy a ticket online......

I emailed Inter about this and they said it may a problem if you are English.

I presume that by "English" they mean "Scottish" or "Brittish".
