Think he'll be away to Bolton?

Sarcasm is great. But in reality, his record as it stands is very flattering.

Like I said, were lucky if we fave played 6 games where we've looked a good side this season.

Wouldn't surprise me. Lenny liked him and he wouldn't cost much. Matthews at Celtic in the last year or two has been sooo stagnant, perhaps he needs a fresh start somewhere else.

I think so too... I like the man, think he's a good player when he can be bothered! Half hearted a lot. But I'd play fisher until lustig is back from here on, until Matthews looks like he wants to play.

I think he'll be off to Bolton next month, really do

I don't expect nothing more than become league champions. Next season I'd like the treble. :icon_mrgreen: I still fully support Ronny.

It's all very good supporting the man... Like I said we can afford to at the moment.

Our situation is very unique, in the way any man who got the job, would have a relevantly easy league title. Where you can get knocked out of Europe twice and still be there after Christmas :56:

Hopefully the man will come good. Just think at the moment he's not very well equipped in the tactical area of his game. Very rarely agree with his substitutions, or first team choices regularly for that matter.

But. We can afford to give him time.

I think we can only give him proper judgement when he gets the chance to bring in some of his own players

    Exactly my reaction. :smiley-laughing002:

Was actually thinking when I saw the result someone would put up a thread like this, when I was like "nah, people on that forum aren't complete morons".... ah Bertie, you've really entertained me.

Is he far wrong though, has Ronny showed he's a good manager?

Do you think this question is only asked on this forum? :56:

Believe me, this isn't the first game at full time I've heard people questioning the man when we're walking out of the stadium

We're top of the league, into last 32 of Europa, League cup semi-finals and in Scottish cup. Hardly a sackable offensive now is it?

Like I said and will continue saying he should be judged until around this time next season, because that's when we'll see what he can produce when hopefully all the circumstances allow him to.

I've been critical of Ronny but the team has improved and he was not to blame for today. His subs were spot on, as one of them scored and the other had a goal disallowed.

He is showing he is a good manager and if he gets right what he is trying to achieve watching Celtic will be exciting and successful..

This transfer window will be interesting as it's plain to see where we need to strenghten..

Two transfer windows and a treble in the bag the start of next season will be very exciting..:shamrock:

I agree, I'm happy to give the man time. Because we can. He can't be judged on the players we have now. But his tactics can, and so far I'm unimpressed to say the least.

were top of the league and in all comps, I know this. But I fully expect us to be. And it's actually very flattering that we are...

Like I keep saying, were lucky if we've played 6 game this season where we could say we're a good side.

We are top of the league, no Rangers no hearts and no hibs. We all expect to be at the top. We are in the cup competitions, I expect to be.... Do I think we've been impressive?... No! Far from it infact.

Where we've really been challenged is in Europe where we've been knocked out twice. and we've been * * in Europa league, let's be honest?

Sorry mate, I don't agree.. I don't think he is.

But yes, the transfer window will be interesting. But how much of what Ronny wants will Ronny get?

Forrest had a bad day in front of goal, not much wrong with the rest of his play. Too eager to score and it got into his head after the first miss.

IIRC Stokes had 1 cross deflect onto the post and a difficult header. Guidetti had a couple of decent touches and passes. Neither gave any real threat to Dundee United.

Good post and I tend to agree. :50:

It's all very well saying we are in this and that comp but people try to paint this as the full picture when it's no where near.

Yes I have seen improvements in the past couple of months but we struggle time and time again defending against teams that are in our faces and play decent football.

Attacking we look good just not clinical enough, defensively though we are a shambles.

Very glass half empty way of looking at things.

I think any manager needs time for his ideas and tactics to transfer to a new group of players, especially when he isn't trusted to spend money when he walks in the door and so has to impart his wisdom onto a group of players who aren't used to his methods.

Should he have adapted more in the begining, absolutely, should he have been backed more, without a doubt.

The first couple of months were an absolute calamity and he is lucky he survived it, other clubs would have got shot of him, no doubt but we stuck by him.

After that he changed his "philosophy" and started grinding out results and then he got slated for not playing good enough football, now we have settled into winning ways he has started introducing his attacking football again and all of a sudden that isn't good enough either after one defeat.

I'll be the first to admit that the defence is a huge problem, we need a ball winner in there, a big Balde type *, to play alongside one of the ball playing centre halfs (or another new one depending on Van Dijk and Denayer's situation).

    Definitely cause for optimism though.

Thd OP is, well not to mince words, a total * balloon.
Any criticism is in individual errors and poor play, not to mention the * ref and his sidekicks.

That's my take on things, today was an unlucky one and nothing else, no need for the over the top tripe I'm reading on this thread but that seems to be the norm now after any defeat.

The subs he made were good indeed but I'd like to see Griffiths get a run now, I think replacing Ambrose in January has to be a priority if we are going to bother turning up in February and having a run in Europe.
