Wow that is absolutely disgusting. Legia fans are an absolute disgrace, shame on them threatening a little terrified woman.

No doubt damian13ster had a huge part in these threats it really does disgust me how evil people can be:47:

The more i read of these * the more they remind me of huns. Blaming everybody else when they * up and greeting about it. Still got a rid neck for them for that open letter.

That's a bit harsh, isn't it? On the other hand, Pilate was certinly a "rules are rules" person.

Imagine all the people from "rules are rules" bandwagon during a CL game, standing under a huge "Pontius Pilate CSC" banner! :56:

But in all fairness there were a couple of Celtic fans here saying that Legia deserved to qualify, and that they feel bad about UEFA's decision, so there would be a small handful standing with a tiny "Jesus Christ CSC" banner, rain falling on their heads, wind blowing in their eyes.

Seriously, a good writer with a comic talent could write an uproariously funny short story about all this. I wish Frank O'Connor was still alive. :celt_2:

Eufa ought to step in and threaten to ban them from euro
Competitions if they keep trying to undermine them and us
And for bringing the game into disrepute

Fifa need to release a statement ending this shambles. If the begging and ridiculous behaviour continues from legia they should receive a further ban. Imagine this happened every time you lost a match you shouldn't have? Henrys handball vs ireland? Where was the one of match after this? While we are at it rapid vienna 1984? Athletico 1974? There are countless matches.

Should all games that are lost unfairly or by default be replayed? Maybe so but if that is the case then legia need to join the queue as we have a * load of old firm and european games to get out the way first!

Think this is the 4th time av read this exact statement in a different part of the forum.. however, its more true everytime. I hope we end up in the europa last 32 (after competing admirely in the group of death and coming third) to meet leiga warsaw, and absoloutly pump you rotten. By then we will not be a team in transition, captain back, new players in and settled. You'll have some lesson coming your way.

Anyway, no matter how it ends, Legia has already greatly benefited from the situation: a couple of weeks ago the wider public in New York, Sydney or Tokyo have never even heard of the name "Legia Warsaw", and now the team is being discussed as a small club, an underdog who won decisively on the pitch and is being punished unfairly, over a trifling technicality, for the financial benefit of a Big Rich Club (Celtic) and a Big Rich Organisation (UEFA).
That's the world media's take on the matter--it might not be entirely accurate (as you will no doubt point out), but there it is.

The amount of words of support and sympathy that Legia has received from all over the world in the last couple of days is overwhelming.

They are but don’t worry, the Legia fans will just ignore it as they have done with the attacks on Celtic fans in Warsaw. Nothing to see here move along.

Seems they want to others to act fairly, do the right thing, be sporting, act with ‘honor’ but it’s fine for them not to follow these traits. Who'd have thought that, eh?

I guess the death threats made by your fellow Legia fans will be received with a lot of sympathy from all over the world as well.

Luckily, most people in the world (if not on this forum) can see the difference between the actions of clubs and the actions of some desperate supporters.

Shows celtics class. We dont go around trying to drag leiga through the mud, letting the world know of there white power fans, attacking celtic supporters, attacking familys at our home game, goading celtic to a rematch, sending death threats to a we woman who'll be quivering away in her house hoping your white power scum fans done come a knocking.

Yet they think its ok to try take celtics name through the mud when we had nothing to do with uefas decision. Im more than sure celtic have a cracker wrote up about it all for after Wednesdays final confirmation your out. So enjoy your only time in the spotlight for the next 20 years.

You'll be forgot about this time Wednesday morning. Nothing more to see here. Goodbye :bbpd:

Who gives a * about what others think ?! Take your dignity and honour and shove it up yer cheating *. 2 weeks from now , everyone will have forgot all about your wee * team.
You're trying to play the victim card , while also going on the attack. Can't wait to see your true colours once your appeal gets squashed.

    Exactly!

Imagine how much would we have to pay if we wanted the name "Legia" mentioned in The New York Times, Frankfurter Allgemaine Zeitung etc. etc.
I'm starting to believe the letter was Legia's marketing department's idea. :smiley-laughing002:

Fairly true, if Celtic wanted to we could resort to playground tactics citing all these things but fortunately we have a bit more class. We may not be performing on the pitch as a top side but at least we can act like one rather than act like a bunch of gung-ho amateurs. Our silence, aside from a couple of lines on Sunday night in response to the embarrassing and shameful open letter, has been superb and it is clear that this has really got to Legia fans. I am not so sure this will be good for many of their steroid munching meatheads – high blood pressure with all those steroids must be putting some amount of strain on them.
