Surprised this thread is still open after their futile appeal was rejected.

There'll be their court of arbitration for sport thread, after that a general Legia's pathetic moaning tantrum thread should do it.

the legia players cannot understand the decision..

we won it on the pitch

    CORRECT

but one of you should not have been on the pitch so the rules were applied. Which part don't you understand?

tbh he's right the rule is unnecessarily harsh and the punishment doesn't fit the crime. Having said that its not as if they can change the rules mid season.

CAS - court of arbitration for SPORT.

Now there is an interesting question.. are we talking about Business or Sport?

CAS will agree that the rules were followed and appropriate action was taken by the ruling body ...

BUT, here is Scotland we have had a judge, Lord Nimmo, who has made rulings on sporting merits.. should the old Rangers club have that decision reviewed by CAS?

Also, i think both parties have to agree to arbitration, not only in sport but in all arbitration hearings.

    I'm not picky.
It's not been proven because there are no contradictions anywhere for this incident. A player has to be registered for the competition for any match suspensions that need served. If a player has to serve any suspensions and is not registered then he doesn't serve any of his suspensions.

    Try to keep up...

    1) Bereszynski was suspended for 3 European matches.
    2) Bereszynski wasn't registered for the Champions League for the St. Pat's tie.
    3) Bereszynski still has a three match ban to serve.
    4) Bereszynski was registered for the Champions League for the Celtic tie.
    5) Bereszynski serves his first of three match suspensions in the first leg as he isn't in the team of 18.
    6) Bereszynski is in the team of 18 and comes on as a substitute in the second leg against Celtic, so he doesn't serve another suspension.
    7) Bereszynski plays in the match while being ineligible to play.
    8) Bereszynski still has two matches left of three to serve.
    9) Legia Warsaw break the rules by fielding Bereszynski.
    10) Legia Warsaw are rightfully ejected for fielding Bereszynski.

    Got it? Good. Now...

Taken from the interview with CAS general secretary

"Uefa would have to abide by Cas's decision, and so could reinstate Legia to the Champions League if the court found in the Polish club's favour."

If uefa don't agree then "A provisional measure could be reached if all sides do not agree to the fast-track appeal procedure. In those circumstances, Cas would rule on the validity of Legia's case, essentially providing the club with a verdict before proceeding to the full appeals procedure."

So if CAS feel they have a case they could be reinstated pending a full hearing, that doesn't seem right somehow?
