What are you saing? We all know there was a * up and nobody is denying that. They are not saying that mistake wasnt made or that they should be let go because it was just an ignorance. Ignorance should be punished, and it was as Ostrowska is now fired. They are saying that UEFA regulations contradict with each other, therefore it is not clear that forfeit should be awarded and that its the only option. Nothing more to it.
They are admitting there was a fuckup in administration and all of the people involved are sacked. However, if there were procedural mistakes done by UEFA or contradictions in regulations, the penalty given to the club can still be changed/removed.

Learn the rules first and know what you are talking about:
It doesnt matter whether he played or not. Just him being on the bench instead of the stands was enough for a forfeit to be awarded........
Can you people at least do some research before speaking?

That was an argument showing that all parties who knew the list of 18 players submitted by Legia were well aware that betting on Celtic to advance is a sure bet so the argument that it couldnt be Celtic (I am sure it wasnt, just as much as I am sure it wasnt Legia) based on the fact that they didnt know Bereszynski would be subbed in is invalid.

I agree that this rule states there should be forfeit. I also agree that if other rules such as articles 17,18 and 20 plus wording of the rules about suspension contradict the rule saying that the player has to be registered in order to serve the suspension, the penalty can be lifted.
And since the score should be decided on the pitch, if that is the case then I think it should be lifted.

    Please don't.......

I will accept any outcome of this situation, but I am allergic to idiocy and 90% of posts here of people who have nothing to add or write stuff based on imaginary situations such as Legia's forfeit being removed resulting in teams playing suspended players or being a precedent, or draw being remade is just overflowing with it.

What do you expect on a CELTIC forum? Are you here for sympathy or a argument?

Well, I don't know what's going to happen either, obviously. I'm hoping UEFA don't change their minds but if they do, then fair enough. We don't deserve to be there anyway. The money is just too much to turn down and "be the bigger man/do what's right" unfortunately.

If I can get some enjoyment out of winding up the opposition then I think I'm entitled to - it's all part of football, after all.

We all know the rules have been breached - if we were to leave it there then this thread would only be 1 or 2 pages long.

Pretty shocking that. When I read Kuciak pointed out to Bereszynski that he mightn't have served his suspension, then he asked about it and got told all was fine, I was * surprised.

I'm sure a bit of dialogue went on and a bit of doubt crept into the admin staff's heads, and not one * would go double check the rules?

Makes it even sorer for Legia fans to take hearing that, I'm sure.
