    I would actually truly love to know the facts about the universe etc....!

    Isnt it only regarded as 13/14 billion years old because thats as far as our best telescopes can see at this point in time?

    'In theory if you had a rocket faster than the speed of light, you could take off, get to outer space, & if you had a telescope powerful enough, you could look back & watch yourself taking off...

    You might be right, I can't remember how they judge the age of the universe. You'd think it would be as far as we could see otherwise it would just be theoretical?

    That is brilliant, to move so fast you could literally see history. That must mean if the earth is observable to other life forms, depending on how far away they are would determine what part of earth's history they would see. Through their telescopes they could be watching the dinosaurs as that light was just reaching them? That is so strange.

    I still find it hard to take in the fact that some of the stars we see every night, may not be there anymore.
