Everyone else can overrule him, he has 42% not 50% + 1 share. If other people invested more in the share issues his stake would come down but they are not

It is complete fantasy to believe other people would overule him. He may not have voting control, but he controls the purse strings. As regards me investing my money, grab a hold of this.
My son will drive me to Milton Keynes on Friday night, I will catch a coach at midnight to take me to Glasgow arrivinf about 7am. I will grab a bite to eat, go down the Gallowgate, the Barras market etc and then head for Celtic Park, where I will visit the Celtic shop and buy two new strips, some videos, Celtic view and then take up my place in my newly acquired season seat. I will even eat a pie at half time. I'll pop back to the Brazen Head and meet other real Celtic fans, listen to CATB and head for Buchanan Bus Station to catch the 22.30 coach back home arriving at 6.30 on Sunday.
I also bought two small amounts of shares at the latest rights issue.
As a proportion of income and assets I guess its a grat deal more than Desmonds share.
If you think thats shitstirring, then you are deluded, what by the way do you contribute to Celtic apart from your know all attitude on a message board

Similar to you except i dont have a season book, i go through my Celtic Supporters Club for a ticket to matches. I cant get over to Glasgow regulary. I wish I could.

The fact is DD has invest more money that anyone in the history of the club, this club would have sinked without his input. He's investing out of his choice, not because he has to. If we had more people that would invest what he invests, we would be up there in the top 8 of europe.

I give my opinion based on what I've read, if I dont understand something, I read up on it.

Fair enough Dempsey, you're entitled to your opinion but the gist of this thread is WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU COULD BE DESMOND??
I think you and the other DD defenders would count your billions and throw spare change at the club the same as DD but I feel we're really unlucky that we're the only billionaire related club who's sugar daddy gives us next to f@ck all.
Like I said, if I had a billion, we'd have half the world cup winning team in our ranks,
and the other half would be Brazil.

I dont disagree that it is a collective duty being neglected by the suits in charge Dempsey.....But if Dermot's ties are 'emotional ones' as i have seen stated, then surely he must be the one to lead the rest by example as the major share-holder and self proclaimed fan of the club? He cannot lead by example. If he puts any more money into the club then he has to offer to take it over.... and I don't think anyone wants that. So until somebody else buys shares to dilute his standing, he can't do any more.

He doesn't need to put money in per se....He just has to use his considerable influence on the board to 'persuade' them to re-route funds already there to enable the manager not to embarrass himself or the club in any future transfer negotiations. Wanmadtim
