I think he's perfectly suite for Real. Fee aside.

Mata I agree with, I said when he signed that he was better than Silva and people would think such after a couple of seasons. Feel smug about that one :icon_mrgreen:

    Pity he plays for Chelsea.

    BBC Sport:

Manchester United have been told they have a chance of landing the Wales international, but it will cost £125m to sign him.

Messi is priceless. He did have a £205m release clause but I don't know if that's still in place.

The guy who deals with the transfers for Spurs is meant to be a total *. If that report is true you can see why people would think that. I hope that Bale goes nowhere cos Spurs have spent a fortune and it will be funny watching them totally * panic trying to get players off their books. If I were Madrid or United or whoever is interested I'd put a £30m take it or leave it offer on the table. They wont get him for that but Spurs imo need to sell him.

Ach well, we shall soon find out - probably!

I know, hopefully Mourinho decides he doesn't like him and sells him.

My comment was in response to response to him being worth 94m. What's he done to be worth this amount. Nothing I can think of.

I personally don't think he's good enough to play for Madrid. He falls over from a knock in the EPL - Wonder how he'll fear when he's got players booting him in the legs.

Özil is a phenomenal talent. He has a really good understanding with Ronaldo and the only player who topped his number of assists in La Liga last season was Andrés Iniesta. He averages 20 assists a season for Madrid and he'll get about 10 goals a season from midfield. He should be invaluable to them.

No one thinks he is worth £94 million.

How he'll fear? La Liga is an easier league for players of Bale's ilk.

Maybe. I don't know if it's been asked but where do people see Bale slotting in, with Ronaldo's preferred position being on the left of the front four as well?

Bales been played in the middle when he's been at his best. However I have a feeling you'll see Ronaldo upfront with Bale on the left.

And had the thread been if Bale is worth £125m, then I would have upped my valuation in regards to Messi. But it stated £94m, and I would value Messi around £40m more than Bale.

The deal is absolute madness. In a footballing sense obviously he's worth nowhere near that much. He would have to score 50 and assist 30 every season. And in financial terms it's stupid as well as there's no way in * Madrid will recoup that money. Bale has basically zero marketability, although of course that will improve drastically with this transfer.

Look at the previous world record holder - Ronaldo. He was, I believe, the World or European player of the year at the time he was sold, and let's be honest is a big sexy * from the Iberian peninsula with delicious skills and a ridiculous goal scoring record. He was consistenly playing brilliantly for the best team in England and had won the Champions League.

Meanwhile......Bale comes from Cardiff and looks like a monkey.

    No comparison.

Tony Watt is a sexier * than Bale, think we can tempt Barca to part with £100m? haha :56:

No chance is bale worth that much in football ability, and i agree, no chance he can be marketed better. Owen and Hargreaves couldn't shift shirts, and they have Ronaldo on the back of every Real Madrid shirt in England already, no * is surely daft enough to actually support/follow Bale to the degree that some people (look at Asia)follow individual sport stars? Bale is a * non-entity out with England, and some European leagues. This * is what is wrong with football.
