Why, surely his SPL record with much weaker team suggests he can do it for us?

    It's up.

Had a text saying VVD didn't travel up with the squad. Anyone know if this is true and if it's just part of Ronny's rotate players master plan for Tuesday?

I expect a few changes to be made for this and rest a few after hearing Ronny's press conference.

    Hopefully something like this:

    Gordon

    Ambrose
    Denayer
    Van Dijk
    Izaguirre

    Henderson
    Mulgrew

    McGeouch
    Commons
    McGregor

    Griffiths

Subs: Zaluska, Twardzik, Johansen, Biton, Berget, Pukki, Stokes

I am with you there 4-4-2. I would start him against Inverness and give Stokes a break ahead of the return leg against Maribor. In fact I would bring in Griffiths, Pukki, Boerighter if fit, Commons, Amborse and Biton all into the starting lineup to freshen things up from Wednesday night. Play Griffiths up top with Boerighter on the left Pukki on the right and Commons behind Griffiths. Biton could give Mulgrew a break alongside Kayal and then bring Ambrose in and give either Denayer or Lustig a rest as well.

    Is Tonev fit?

i.e. able to play, not attractive.

Was the injury to his cranium? Scalped is the new look apparently.

Seems like we're resting a few players for this, risky.

Potential slip up on the back of an away game in Europe.I can see a draw happening.

The amount of times EPL teams have done my coupon after an away Euro tie is ridiculous, so im always wary of backing them these days. This is typical of a slip up game with the long drive up there.(we do still drive up dont we?)

Aye, if we slip up here we might end up winning the League by less than 25 points :smiley-laughing002:

If we are resting the majority id play...

    Gordon
    Ambrose Denayer Van Dijk Twardzik
    Biton
    Henderson Kayal
    Commons Pukki
    Griffiths

Id keep Gordon, Denayer and Van Dijk together as theyve only had 2 games together and its good for them to get more games to build an understanding.

No, but im sure they will understand.Wednesday away in Europe...mentally draining, early Saturday game with a long drive, and then a Tuesday massive game.
Id rest half the team and put out the closest team to Wednesday's as possible on Tuesday.

My point was yes I would rest our main players, but it's not as if these guys are working 60 hour weeks ffs they are well looked after,so therefor is it too much to field a side worthy of the support that follows them paying through the nose
