I would take him, but only if we signed either Bellamy or Bothroyd. ( The same goes for Bellamy. I would want someone else along with him.)

Just to move this argument into the right thread, can anyone who regularly watches Huseklepp confirm what position he plays?

Some people seem to think he's a target man which I definitely don't think he is. I thought he was more of a winger, but if he actually is just a striker then I don't know why people are getting excited. For a striker he isn't really prolific and must drift wide like Sammy and Fortune and they didn't exactly go down well with huge swathes of our support.

What I remember of him before he went to Bari when we were previously linked with him was that he played 84 matches in Norway in his career. He scored 27 and had 23 assists. Apparently he's a good striker to help set up others to score as well. Last season he had 2 goals and 4 assists in 14 matches with Bari, but averaged only 67 minutes per game. Not sure if that makes his season with Bari look any better, but I would imagine you'd also have to take into account he was playing with a team that was relegated and I'm sure he didn't have a great quality of players around him. His stats suggest that he is good partnering someone, I could see him playing with Hooper and Commons well to be honest, but the only time I've actually watched Huseklepp live was against Ireland and Scotland internationally.

I seen him playing once for Bari last season and he done ok but I didnt like the look of him. He seemed to be playing as if he was coming from the left wing and doesnt seem to be what we need we need someone who will stay up top like Bothroyd even though hes not the powerful type we'd want either but Bothroyd would be too good to get on a bosman.

We got Ledley and he's arguably an even more valuable asset.

Depending on the fee could be worth looking at again but unsure where he would fit in plays more the Commons role than a striker .

I just spoke to my neighbour who has just moved from Norway and he is pretty sure that while he is a good player, he is too light weight for the SPL. The word he used was "flimsy". He rates him as a player, just not in Scotland. Interesting point from a guys who has seen him a fair bit.
