Idah is only good for coming off the bench with about 15 mins to go. He is Rodgers signing and therefore Rodgers is desperate for him to succeed but it’s starting to look like a lost cause.

It’s obviously not unsalvageable on paper, but I have next to zero belief that we can turn it around. There’s such a * mentality to our team in these games.

There’s guys out there who probably, and in some cases definitely, shouldn’t be, but it’s like Groundhog Day watching our setup in these games. You can only play the hand you’ve been dealt, or in this case the players you have, but Rodgers has either learned absolutely nothing from the previous outings or isn’t adapting. I’m genuinely watching us and wondering what the plan is.

Also, whoever’s being paid for coaching our set-pieces is stealing from us every time the money hits their bank account. * Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid couldn’t pull off a robbery of that level.

Engels is * * poor man...wake up.

Couple on Penalties and the odd decent pass in a game....Look at the size of him...No presence at all in games.

He actually started the game well, then after 20 mins fell out of it.

He’s yet to really stand out in a game like this. If next season is much like this then it’s definitely £11m not well spent.

 

Engels is nothing special, he has the strength and athleticism but as a footballer he’s bang average.

 

Agree, surely after the last two performances against them the players must want this. We never look like we want it more against them.

 

These fixtures are the biggest challenge the league can offer and we are failing them consistently. Its a truer measure of where the team is at and the level of quality thats in the squad. You learn more about the team I think in these games than scudding SPL teams with 10% of our budget.

There is quality deficiency in the squad to play the way Rodgers wants to play in these games. And a refusal from Rodgers to try anything different.

Fortunately for us, Rangers cant consistently beat anyone else. So its not costing us trophies. But I think they are highlighting that our team is not as good as maybe it should be.

I think he will. Next year with the pressure of the price tag is off. Hoping he comes good for us.

 

You're being too generous to them.

 

Forrest the only bright spark really, Engels needs to do much more. I know Tony hasn't had much of a look in recently but he's previously been much more of a threat going forward as he has been today, so hesitant with the ball.

Defensively we really struggle to deal with anything they throw at us which is strange. Some decent crosses from Tavernier but no like they need to do much else. Wouldn't leave it too long before changing it. Adam's miss just set them up to hit back I felt, could see that happening immediately.

 

O’Riley is what I wish Engels could be.

As much as I love Rogic, I prefer Hatate. Both had games they drifted from and yeah Rogic had some unreal games but I think Reo has a more rounded contribution in midlfied.

If you had a choice between MacGregor, Hatate, O’Riley, Engels, Christie and Rogic. Who would you have as a three?

I’d be * stunned if we turn this around and win. Something is off with us in these games. One good performance against them out of 5 this season is unacceptable.

Nuts how much he was hyped when he was signed, and now I'd be happy to never see him play for us again.

 

We can definitely still win this game. Presumably we’ve warmed up now, seeing as we start every game half asleep.

 

If griff gets those three chances. Guaranteed we're 2 or 3 up. Idah isn't and never will be in that league

 

We need to do something and this is probably the best option. Yang was showing some nice form before he got injured

 

None of our CMs are ball winners , we.desperately need someone who can put a tackle in.
