He’ll be here next year regardless I think. We won’t throw away that outlay in a year, I think Ange has previously stated he wasn’t planning on him having as much exposure this season as he has. Which has been very little, so I don’t know if that’s Ange also protecting a player adapting to the culture of a new country and a different team at a young age.

Regardless on the deal he has we will give him another year though.

Taylor is well ahead of him and I want someone in who can take us to the next level with Taylor competing. Doubt Bernabei will ever be that, although he has some of the attributes I want in terms of pace, attacking the space, bit more dynamic..

I’d give him the summer and pre-season with us, if we haven’t signed a replacement by that point, then we know where Ange rates him.

Berny has a lot of raw attributes but he has zero defensive brain against anycunt quicker than him. We’ll see how he fares today against movement in Cantwell.
