It makes you sick doesn't it.

It said on the ITN news that Mr McDaid had recently taken some kids (both Catholic and Protestant) out on a local community fishing trip.

So a guy who was doing his best to help build bridges and teach a future generation that we can indeed integrate peacefully, has something terrible like this happen to him.

He was even married to a Protestant woman.

No one deserves to die in this way, whatever their colour or creed, and certainly not, over something so trivial in the grand scheme of things as a football match.

From a Protestant, Englishman and Celtic fan, R.I.P Mr McDaid, your good work will be rewarded in the years to come when those very kids you've helped and educated become adults and fully understand that there is no place in life for such horrific crimes as this.

These are the same animals who rioted in Manchester after they lost, Is anyone surprised, My prayers go out to the man and his family. It was good to see on the telegraph website, Rangers fans and Celtic Fans built a makeshift memorial, dont let a few bad apples ruin the reputation of an entire group, throw those scum in jail.

Just seen what they did to his poor wife when she tried to stop them, she came away with two black eyes and broken ribs, they also beat a pregnant woman aswel... I just can't get my head around it... They win the title and decide to beat innocent people (even some of their own) leaving a family devastated and a community mourning and picking up the pieces

Shame on all those involved...scum of the earth

I have just found this remark from a DUP MLA Adrian Mcquillan.

    Monday, May 25, 2009

“They certainly got a reaction this time”

The brutal sectarian murder of Kevin McDaid has so far led to eleven arrests (according to RTE tonight), and with eyewitnesses claiming that up to 40 loyalists arrived in the estate in cars and taxis as part of the clearly orchestrated sectarian attack, there will doubtlessly be many more to follow. Whilst condemnation has followed from most quarters, the reaction of local DUP councillor, Adrian McQuillan, on tonight’s BBC Newsline will certainly raise many eyebrows. Here’s Adrian’s response:
    * for tat all the time. What reason can you see for there being tricolours up yesterday afternoon, a Sunday afternoon? None other than for to get a reaction from the loyalist community, and they certainly got a reaction this time, which is very sad.”

    Twisted *.

What a horrible vile bigoted * that McQuillan is. How anybody could in any way condone what happened to Kevin McDaid is beyond me. I heard Gregory Campbell of the DUP sayin somethin similar yesterday. Not a word of comdemnation, just vague mumblings about flag disputes.

    Thats the DUP for ya.

RIP Kevin, a martyr for anti-sectarianism.
