Yep, Sky Sports mucking up the report it looks like. Mixing in a different part of the interview making it into 1.

Bit of mind games for me playing hooper tonight, knowing he was 'supposedly' injured, just came back and putting him in tonight against part timers in a tie that was won tells me he's rushing the couple of clubs in for him to step up with the bids we want!

Playing him tonight will do exactly that, they won't want him risking injury etc

That's my take onnit anyway,I mean we're supposed to be trying to get another striker in by Thursday also so for me it's all games

"Celtic want Gary Hooper to stay after Nottingham Forest interest." page

Talk about getting the wrong end of the stick.

I hope he leaves, as efficient he is as a goalscorer I believe we can get an all-round better player. One more suited for Europe!

However I would love literally cream my pants if this was the season Samaras started scoring goals regularly like we know he can! Good start so far anyway!

Watched the whole second half tonight and he really does influence the team so much. He came on and the first thing he did was burst forward from our half 30/40 yards with the ball and played a lovely ball through to Lustig out wide. He dictates alot and has a very good football brain/awareness.

Also extra unlucky with his overhead kick, brilliant technique.

See at the end of the day we have managed to double our money on Hooper and he is in his last year of his contract. Thats pretty impressive for us to be able to get that deal.

20% sell on fee to scunny and his wages over the last 3 seasons.

Should have had him signed up to a longer deal IMO would have got more for him.

That's my feeling on the situation as well. I'd be more than happy with this if we manage to get a decent striker bought.

I think it was inevitable and I think Celtic knew it as well so hopefully they already have a very small short list drawn up for replacements

I think 5 million or so for Hooper is about right and I think if we spend wisely it shouldn't be all that hard to replace him. But we need to spend
